i mean compared to taker aj styles is still a toddler if we want to get into technicalities about this yes there are younger brighter stars out there to give it to but when you are doing a passing of the torch type situation you want it going from 1 gen to the next so taker to aj aj to say ricochet ricochet to "insert name here" so on and so forth if you skipped aj and went with lets say ricochet there is the issue of an entire generation of wrestlers not having a big man representative who beat taker aswell as the fact that ricochet beating taker this early into his wwe career it would be like a 7 year old punching out a rugby player it would be cool but it wouldnt make all that much sense as one has fucking decades of experience while the other has been alive for a second and a half so while yes AJ isnt a young star he is still young enough to beat taker as a bit of an underdog but old enough that he can help the new talent get over but also some day take the place of undertaker as the next mania streak master

However, the thing is, there are already TWO men who have beaten Taker at Mania. One belongs to the Cena/Orton/Batista/Edge generation, and the other one to the current generation. The impact of a win over Taker has vastly diminished, and I'm not sure how necesary it would be for Styles to do so at this point.

Since Adam brought it up, I think in hindsight Undertaker should have been wrestling under his biker gimmick since losing to Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 30. Once the streak died the Deadman gimmick should have died with it because symbolically it makes sense to say, "The streak was the only thing keeping him alive, and now that it's dead so too is the Undertaker." Also people thought he was going to retire as Biker Taker once and I still think he should.
