African Football League is finally underway. A FIFA-backed initiative; it’s a pan-African competition that matches teams from multiple nations; and is a new direct competitor to the existing CAF Champions League.
Whilst the new competition is set to bring a larger audience and more revenue, its conception has been far from straightforward.
