If someone is using a RF jammer, all wireless communication will be blocked so how does a wired/wireless alarm system base station will send the signal to the authorities? via wifi, cellular, ethernet?
@joshuagriffin28072 жыл бұрын
The system does have an RF jam detection feature if it sees jamming for longer than 20 seconds it will transmit an alarm and go off at the panel.
@BladeAndrade2 жыл бұрын
@@joshuagriffin2807 how is the alarm transmitted? if the jammer is in use, I'm guessing the alarm is not transmitted but the siren will go off, am I wrong?
@synamii2 жыл бұрын
Most RF (radio frequency) devices have built in filters and jammer detections methods. Keep in mind, that for an RF jammer to function effectively, it must alternate bands/wavelengths. Most security systems are not exclusively RF and if they are, they have different wavelengths. It's not impossible to completely jam a specific RF frequency... but it's not very plausible. Especially considering that communication devices are heavily controlled.
@synamii2 жыл бұрын
@@BladeAndrade Also, most security systems are hard lined. If a device becomes jammed in the network and the controller can no longer communicate with the device, the hard wired controller and alarm are triggered which sends the alarm signal out.
