I cover how the Amazon Ranking Algorithm works to rank products and the most important factors that influence ranking. If you're selling on Amazon or interested in selling on Amazon, this crash course on Amazon ranking factors will benefit you. Once you know why products rank higher in the organic search results, it will influence everything you do from how you create your listing to marketing your product. If you don't know how to rank products on Amazon, why products rank on Amazon, or what helps ranking then you're at a severe disadvantage to all of the other Amazon FBA sellers that do. The Amazon A9 algorithm (sometimes referred to as the A10 algorithm) is something all sellers should stay up to date on and be aware of the latest ranking strategies. Using this info you'll be able to create and write better Amazon listings and improve your marketing to Amazon to increase your product rank.

Hey Scott thanks for sharing! I think I've found the gold nugget but don't know how to use it right lol so keywords is a must but also need to have traffic to your products by using these keywords and that's where I don't know how to. So the question is if I see proxies specifically for Amazon ranking work from proxy-store, should I buy some software to make it work?

Good traffic would be from quality sites from people that are actually interested in your product, as opposed to just spamming clicks to your listing.

Great video again Scott! Got a question: Running out of stock at full speed or trying to slow the process down by rasing the price?

There are some variables to this that can change strategies, like how long until you have your new stock in. But generally speaking, you can slow down sales some but you don't want to do it too much where you hurt your own organic rankings. Better to go out of stock with good rankings and good sales. You can try slowing down any PPC you have going. I don't like to mess with price much, but it you do, only do so slowly (no more than $1 at a time). Best case is you don't go out of stock, but if you do, try to push hard with PPC and marketing when you get back in stock to get your product back up to the sales velocity it was at before to help get your rankings back.

Very nice breakdown of all the important points to have in mind. I knew some because i have been paying attention to google SEO preferences, seems like Amazon applies similar logic. This one also goes to my list :) pd: My product will also carry gold inside, (not nuggets though hahah) ;D

As a buyer and reviewer I would be interested to learn if sellers do read product reviews in general and if they can also give helpful votes ?

I can't speak for all sellers but I can say that I read the reviews my products get. Reviews are pretty important to sellers so I would bet most are paying attention to the reviews, expect for maybe the really big sellers with thousands or tens of thousands of reviews on a product. Since adding helpful votes to your own product isn't allowed by Amazon, I don't think this is something many sellers are doing.

thanks Scott for your video, i really enjoyed watching your video, but still have some questions: you mentionned that listing traffic is also a ranking factor, but as a seller i dont know how to be recommended from other section on amazon, or other listing. is there any techniques?

There are some things you can do to try and influence certain areas, like frequently bought together. But personally I don't put too much focus on it since it's mostly out of our control. I put my focus towards Amazon PPC and outside traffic like Facebook, Google Ads, influencers, and Pinterest. By increasing your traffic and sales that will help your product get into those other areas of Amazon.

The main things to focus on improving for organic ranking are Clickthrough Rate + Conversion Rate + Sales Volume + Listing Relevancy. Those are the core factors that will affecting ranking the most.
