Wtf no he wasn't. He was very good at dribblibng and skills but that on its own doesn't make a good footballer. Idk where in the world you are from, but if you grew up playing football in a country that is crazy about it (like me - born in Portugal) you will spend your childhood playing on the street with guys that have dribbling and skill at the same level or even better than Bolasie. Probably less than 1% of them ever make it to being pros. Because there's so much more to being a good player than doing fancy tricks.

As incredible as it seems, here in Brazil we don’t like showboating, if a player starts with a lot of clowning the game ends up in beating (whether professional or amateur). Obviously, geniuses like Ronaldinho, Neymar, Djalminha are successful here, as well as in Europe, but because they also have other qualities.

i disagree, both types of showboating are equally great to watch and is what makes football more enjoyable, they both make 99 dribbling ballers like okocha and ronaldinho. i think you're trying to say that the african one are just crazier, and i agree in that.

Kasi Flava is mostly a South African jargon to describe someone or something that excites us South Africans and skill compilations of African players especially South African players is what excites us. Yannick Bolasie is that player that represents Kasi Flava or Jogo Bonito to Brazilians. Was the best player for Palace before moving to Everton and started very well until his injury and he never recovered since and he went down as one of the worst signing for the club and it wasn't his fault. It's nice to see him doing well in Brazil.

DRC has some incredible players. There's a reason the FIFA president is captivated by African football. European football is so boring with all these tactics and tiki takas. It's efficient but bland. Takes away the spirit of football like the one you see in South America and Africa

It is called pro football not ballett you have to score and win to reach results if you want to be the best team That is why teams from Africa have no success at world cup

@SuperMunkeh You're absolutely right. It's almost as if we never saw Bolasie play. Professional football is not the same as flips and tricks of street football.

I'm an African soccer fan, I grew & stay in South Africa... Many players are very Talented+ can mix both Kasi flavour n international football. Problem is our way of developing the strong character, but these days the players r improving

As an Anderlecht fan I was excited when he came on loan. Even though he only stayed half a season and he clearly wasn't at his former Palace level, he was still fun to watch and had a couple of big games. Fun player, could've been bigger for sure.

This video starts out showing a man with what seemed to be incredible skill in a sport that he initially seemed uninterested in football, but then he was. I kept watching it in order to get an answer to when it changed and how he acquired the skill set, but it just kept going on and on. I don't know if it eventually addressed it, but I didn't have to patience to keep scrubbing through to the end.
