I've had more problems with Emerald crabs then I have with any of my angel fish.Any rasses everything else leaves my corals alone but emerald crabs

I bet this Emerald crab had a hunch that something was up with this half of the torch coral because it didn't bother with the other half. Pretty interesting, huh?

I'm guessing the fish store sold you an unhealthy torch coral and the crab is just eating infected dying tissue of the coral. Everything else in the tank looks happy. I would ask for store credit or a different torch coral.

Yes, you're right. I've been going to the Reef store for a few years now and never had an issue with their corals. But this one here, I should have taken a little better look at it while I was at that store. But I was trusting that they were selling me a healthy coral, which I think you're right about this one.
