Athleticism is not just about jumping.

Absolutely! The audacity of these kids 😂 run the court to play offense then come back quickly to play Defense.. you definitely need to be athletic. - not like today with little defense at all Not only Nash... look st Stockton.. he definitely has bigger biceps but anyway.. the ball handler usually had that body shape: not measuring 7 foot long.. does not need to dunk, but definitely is the one who DISTRIBUTES the ball😅 Lol I know this title is clickbait but damn, calling him non athletic is plain disrespect

They always lie like this about white players. Athleticism isn't just jumping and sprinting. Endurance, strength, rhythm, coordination, and balance are all athletic qualities. Having an advantage in any of those will give you a physical edge over other players. None of these guys are winning because they are better at differential equations. BB IQ might have some merit, but it's not the same thing as being a valedictorian in college on a difficult major.

Steve Nash was incredibly athletic. He was just non traditionally athletic for an NBA player. He was also one of the most skilled players ever.

Bro Steve Nash was an incredible athlete lol very quick, mobile, great change of direction AMAZING BALANCE (maintaining balance through many different body positions is an underrated aspect of athleticism) footwork, hand eye coordination etc. I get what you're saying but... Someone with my basketball IQ just knows the difference I guess

Calling him unathletic is a complete mischaracterization. Fast, great balance, could accelerate decelerate and change direction on a dime, amazing body mind coordination, honestly fairly sturdy/strong. Just saying

Nash was the most valuable player on his team that had the biggest impact on winning. Their a reason why the spurs tried to injure Nash.

I remember having his rookie card and on that back of it they gave him so much praise as a player but I never heard of him. He was also playing pg behind Kidd and Kevin Johnson so I wanted to see him live up to expectations but didn’t know how being a 3rd option pg. Eventually he became a good player with Dallas but when he went back to phoenix he went to another level.

I disagree Nash wasn't athletic or didn't have size. He was very shifty, had great handles and speed and could finish at the rim as good as anyone. Plus he was 6 ft 3. For a point guard that is certainly not small.

At no point was Steve Nash I better offensive player than Shaq or Kobe or Tim Duncan Dirk nowitzki. S*** I don't even think he was a better offensive player than Paul Pierce he just had a team built around him that amplified his skill set

And he still did not win anything and also did not deserve the MVP when Kobe had that monster season and should have been clear no1 for it. Nash was a great player though.
@izumolee6714
@izumolee6714 Ай бұрын
If you are talking about the 2005-06 season, Kobe finished 4th in the MVP voting despite having that big year. Lebron & Dirk were ahead of him. Nash took a bunch of role players without Amare and 2 of their best players the previous year who were traded and still managed 54 wins. Without Nash that team wouldn't even make the playoffs or heck the Western Conference Championships for that even. Remember Nash & the Suns beat Kobe and the Lakers in the first round that year.
