How an Unlikely Duo Overcame Injury and Doubt to Become Champions

Role swaps don’t happen very often in competitive League of Legends, so when Perkz, one of the best mid laners in Europe decided to play AD carry, most people weren’t sure how it would work out.
But he did that in part because one player was worth it. Mikyx was good enough to make one of the most decorated players in Europe toss his legacy aside and risk it all on a role swap.
The pair was underestimated over and over again. But despite a wrist injury, despite the history of role swaps, despite the doubters, their success created one of the best bot lane duos in the world.

say what you want about Perkz but the guy demonstrated that he's willing to do absolutely anything to get his team to the top. Imagine being one of the best mid laners in the world, giving up on your role not to anyone, but to your own rival, and swap to the bot lane just so you can create one of the strongest teams the LoL scene has ever seen. It takes a lot of dedication to make such a move. Luka is a living legend.

@@TheTdg97 Even if they did win worlds, it would be a far cry from the strongest team that the lol scene has ever seen. As far as accomplishments go, they've only won worlds and i think 6 lec titles ? Other teams have achieved much more than that on an international level. They would be one of the strongest, but they'd need to win worlds more than once to prove they are the best that has ever been seen. Until then, SKT stands at the top with 8 LCK titles (including the time before it was called lck obviously), 2 msi titles and 3 worlds. They are a great team, they can win worlds this year for sure, but they haven't done anything that goes in history yet.

Simon Jäger G2 is just a better environment for caps. He can play what and how he wants and that allows him to shine. Caps is the kind of dude who sees an opportunity to play vayne mid and takes it, even when his team doubts him. I’m so glad he took that risk to join G2, as he is happier now without having to sacrifice being successful.

Mikyx is underrated...he’s the cog/x-factor that G2 machine I think people forget or don’t know but Perkz wasn’t suppose to lane swap at all. G2 was suppose to get either Zven or Upset at first, and if that happened Caps goes to C9 and he was 70% close to signing. But I guess it all worked out that didn’t happen

Yesterday was the LEC(League of Legends European Championship) finals and they were a close 3-2 between G2 and Fnatic which won G2 in the end but before the finals, G2 were memeing about how there were gonna win Fnatic but when the series ended, both the players and the organization respected both Fnatic as a organization and the players.
