SWBF2 2005 has amazing mods of Operation “Knightfall” - balanced damage of blasters and lightsabers, BIG main hall map with default chambers map, STUNNING music of John Williams, crowds with blasters against crowds with lightsabers and realistically UNBEATABLE representation of early Lord Vader (he can beat three padawans with one saber throw). I cant stop playing this masterpiece over and over again.

In a way, what happened to Anakin on Mustafar, was justice for all the sick things he did, and being consumed by his selfishness. I still believe the Jedi way of no attachment, and keeping knowledge away from their students did Anakin no favors in healing him from his past. But one cannot deny that Anakin’s desperation and selfishness caused his own downfall, and put him right back into a life of slavery… albeit he was a powerful slave.

Yep, pretty fucked. Crazy how fast he went from savior to heartless psychopath. Honestly I think killing Palpatine to save his own son wasn’t enough to redeem him and allow him to rejoin the Force, since saving one’s child is inherently self serving too.

He might have done about as well as Mace Windu. But I've always been convinced that it would have taken both Anakin and Obi-Wan to defeat Palpatine. It's also very possible one of them would be killed, in the process.

Til this day, the ROTS game and BTF 2 (2005) are the only Star Wars content to extensively cover the assault on the temple. If Disney ever does a Vader Series (which I highly doubt) this should definitely be covered. Siderant: I always hated the Jedi with the double bladed sabers in the Rots game. They were VERY annoying to beat. I was relieved when I finally finished the level.

I always wondered why Vader didn't employ droids to record/ steal vital records of the Jedi and collect even the restricted artifacts for himself and put everything somewhere he could access later and hide it from Palpatine.

Part of this just doesn’t feel right. Why would he carry out all of these terrible deeds if he “knew Sidious couldn’t save Padme?” I thought the whole point was that he truly believed it and didn’t want to commit these horrible acts but did so in hopes of being able to save his wife? Him doing these things so easily and without hesitation immediately thinking about rising to power as opposed to saving padme makes me feel much less remorseful for Anakin if that is accurate

In “Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader,” it’s explained that Anakin knew Palpatine was lying and manipulating him, but he was already too far gone to turn back. So he followed the orders to destroy the Jedi simply to get them out of the way for his own benefit. He planned to kill Palpatine immediately and then rule the galaxy with Padmé anyway, as soon as he learned how to keep her from dying. It’s also mentioned in the Revenge of the Sith novelization how Anakin was imagining killing Palpatine on Mustafar. But obviously, everything went sideways when Obi-Wan showed up with Padmé.

I would've loved for them to have put all of this in rots and i personally would've thought it would've been better if ahsoka's cruiser made it to courascant and makes her way to the temple then aniken starts his siege and she has to have a face off with him

@@fancytracy In the RoTS video game (came out on OG Xbox in 2005) it has quite a bit of content revolving around anakins rampage in the Jedi Temple (operation knightfall). Like killing Jocasta Nu, fighting Cin Drallig and his apprentice, etc.

Say you are really good at researching this. Do you know who except Padmé and Qui Gon's ghost knows what Anakin did to the Tusken in Attack of the Clones? I mean slaughtering a village including the women and children should be something that a Jedi would cost everything right?

How did the clone troopers know that Anakin wasn't a target? I am assuming that order 66 was implanted into the clones long before Anakin became Vader. Could the clones somehow sense who was a Jedi and who wasn't?

They were likely given direct orders from Palpatine informing them that Vader was not a Jedi and to listen to his orders on the battlefield as long as they didn't contradict his own.

I’m sure there’s some retconned reasoning. Originally, the clones didn’t have inhibitor chips, they just followed orders. In the Legends book “Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader,” it’s blatantly stated that they didn’t have chips and that some clones disobeyed Order 66 because they liked their Jedi friends. The whole inhibitor chip thing was introduced a few years later in The Clone Wars

In the Chip arc in the Clone Wars Series Tups Chip malfunction and it caused him to execute Tiplee and nearly kill Tiplar but spared Anakin so the Clones were programmed to ignore Anakin but kill the other Jedi
