Oh this is very thorough. I like how you break things down. Very helpful to know because I don’t just want to feed them pellets their whole life! Thanks!

You are brilliant! I wondered why one of my ducks have a feather sticking out (all the time)! Thank you for your expert advice!❤

Crumble and brewers yeast for the first week. Duck pellets in water after that. And we also give them some frozen peas in water around 2 weeks for the extra niacin incase they aren’t eating enough duck pellets. They will take to water themselves when they are ready. In the wild ducks will be in water as early as week old. We raise cayugas, khakis and rouens. This diet has worked for these 3 breeds with no health issues. They also free range from dawn til dusk. We have several generations of ducks and ducklings and haven’t had any issues yet . Ducks although kinda dumb, are pretty self sufficient and also resilient.

The pond would be wonderful, but not feasible. Our ducks are free range with our chickens. We feed chicken crumbles, cracked corn, worms, they love the dried worms.🤩

Any advice??? I have lots of split peas (green and gold) and I was wondering if it would be safe for wild ducks and geese as a treat. I plan on soaking them first and feeding on my river dock/deck.

Hello! Love your channel!! Can you please help me with my pekin duck she has a sore on her leg and it is swollen very hard for her to walk! She was being mounted by a couple roosters ! I don't know if it was due to that she would fall as they got on her! I then have removed her and I am taking care of her at from the flock now! I am hoping you can advise me on how to help her!

Read and watch videos on treating bumblefoot in ducks, its quite common with Pekin ducks as they are heavier and put a lot of pressure on their feet.

Any ground up grains. They love corn. I gave em overly crunchy cereal that was too tough for me. Wild rice is a favorite.
