There all hundreds of pups that have been growing slowly, now there is growth and good coloring on everything. Space coast, Florida

@LushGardener2 жыл бұрын
For cinder you can use seaweed liquid solution ….only during growing period …use less than 1/4 mixed in 1 liter of water you can do it once in a month or once in two months don’t add more seaweed can be quite strong ….when you use this don’t use anything else …no leaf mould ,no vermicompost,no cow dung etc 😊🪴

Very useful videos..... one question , when is the time to propagate the succulents. Is it when we see the offshoots coming out and we find lots of small babies coming out along with the mother plant . Thanks so much
@LushGardener Жыл бұрын
ok this depends on the size of the pups ...they should be at least 4 cm plus to be on safer side ...apart from that you need to check the temperature very soon it will be very hot that time avoid any kind of propagation... its always better to wait let the pups reach a good size and then separate
@neerapuri74313 жыл бұрын
Grateful for this video and for addressing this issue of fertilising succulents. I’ve been debating whether to put or not. Looking at you healthy plants, I feel comfortable not using any fertiliser. I’m right now only concerned about saving them in the extreme heat of 45 degrees.
@LushGardener3 жыл бұрын
yes whenever in doubt just avoid.....I literally didn’t know to present in this video cause I don’t even any fertiliser to display 😂 ....yes try to maintain a cool place ....I know it’s highly impossible to set up a place in that heat but try as much as u can try watering the floor to cool it down ....I know how helpless you must be feeling ...again can’t do much with climate ....I wish you all the luck

Thank you 😃😁 Being a first timer, I’m quite anxious, even though my collection is limited to only about 50 plants. I have seen your video on summer care and am trying my best to save them. @LushGardener3 жыл бұрын
No never spray fertiliser on the succulent it’s has to be added to the soil like when you doing your watering add it to the watering can and then use it .. Seaweed is safe but again don’t use it on too much. Burns marks once present on succulents leaves Cant be rectified 😥

When would be the right time to buy succulents? I tend to repot my succulents as soon as I buy they from the nursery to prevent pests.
@LushGardener3 жыл бұрын
you can get them anytime if your purchasing from a local nursery but if purchasing from website and they are coming through mail …it’s best when temperatures are cooler ☺️ yes you can repot them immediately that’s better but isolate them for atleast a week as the pest won’t be visible if any but as a precaution it’s better to isolate new ones

Sir which ratio of npk basacote fertilizer is good for succulents and cacti. And what is the role of humic acid to plants
@LushGardener Жыл бұрын
sir Humic acid buffers soil pH to 5.5 to 7.5 levels which is ideal for plant development and nutrients absorption. they help plant roots to absorb nutrients more efficiently to create long term positive effect on soil quality and productivity. to be honest I have never used all this … we do not need this for succulents as succulents don’t prefer highly organic soil …too much organic matter will weaken the succulent rather than helping it …succulents natural habitat have very less nutrients in soil and we need to replicate that … I wouldn’t recommend npk succulents… it’s been 6 yrs I stopped adding any fertilisers to succulents
@DeepakSharma_91 Жыл бұрын
@@LushGardener alright sir but how did u manage plants health as i have seen in your videos that u mostly use only gravels or coarse sand in which no nutrients are present. So how your succulents are thriving and if you are giving low nutrients then please share 🤗
@LushGardener Жыл бұрын
That’s the magic of succulents 😀… i completely understand you asking this …it’s quite surprising to be honest . I have been waiting for the day they might show signs of less nutrients or asking for nutrients in soil till date I haven’t seen any such signs ( I thought maybe they will grow slow or not looks attractive etc ) …even I was wondering how are they doing so well ☺️…Infact this year I had alot of blooms this year without any fertiliser…

@jeffff183 жыл бұрын
Great video 👍. I'll be curious if at some point the soil your succulents are in gets exhausted of nutrients. I assume you have some succulents in garden soil that was never fertilized during your first 2 years using fertilizer?
@LushGardener3 жыл бұрын
Very good question….yes initially two years I had around 5-6 succulents I used liquid based fertiliser….but didn’t see any significant changes…..slowly my collection increased and I was to lazy to add fertilisers 🤭 ( being lazy turned out a boon here ) and I noticed both had the same growth rate …yes the one with fertiliser bloomed more often again blooms were of no use to me but other than that there wasnt any reason why I must continue using them …. So I stopped altogether. Talking about the soil nutrients exhausting….yes there is a possibility but I occasionally use my pond water ….and during the monsoons when the soil dries I just keep relying on rain water …..so the combination of rain water and pond water rejuvenates the nutrients back ….again the pond water is used once in 2 months of 3 months ….so that’s probably getting the nutrients back in the soil…. Apart from that m not sure how a succulent looks When it lacks nutrients…..I haven’t seen any sign like that ….like usually regular houseplants if we notice yellow leaves or some other noticeable changes suggesting it need plant food but I haven’t come across any succulents showing any kind of sign telling me it needs nutrients…..but if I ever come across will definitely document it 😊
