What a fabulous video. Rammed full of information. I'm tempted to make a "tree" for my hens. Also looking forward to your next ham radio video.

The hens will love the tree. Our hens use it every night to roost and some of the younger hens use it during the day to get away from the older gals. It works great! Thanks for stopping by to watch! Cheers!

Absolutely have to be the same size and the right food! Always a blast to merge flocks.

Yep. I know that you know when to do this. I need to pick your brain on turkeys. I'm thinking of adding a couple for next year to grow for Thanksgiving, etc. Not for laying, just meat. I'll drop you a note. Cheers Lisa!

The flock is looking good and I really like the set up you have for the birds in the shed/barn 🙂

Our barn really works great for our flock (and adding new hens). We love it and it sure gives them plenty of room. Have a great weekend!!

They are so sweet!! My older girls are Boss until the Rooster walks in 😹😹😹✌🏻

Our older hens are still the boss. A couple of the Littles are starting to exert themselves but it'll be a while before they are Queens! Have a great week!

I love your arrangement especially that the littles can go back into their area to roost for a while. My bigs and littles are separated by a dog run so when combined, they will not have access to their small coop bc of predator issues if the dog run was left open between the two at night (we have a fisher cat who has been spotted on camera. I will have to put them on the bigs roost at night and I’ve never had to integrate a young flock before. Im nervous but you make it look so seamless❤

I like that the Littles can go to their area (and area that is comfortable for them). As they age, they can "expand" and move into the Bigs area. It won't be long and they'll be fully integrated. Keep us updated how your combination goes. Cheers!
