I was in Japan last May and I always wonder why the trees look different in Japan than in The Netherlands. Japan is very green but so is the Netherlands in May. I think that the leaves of trees in Japan have more variety in shape and colour and you see them on the slopes of hills and mountains, in the Netherlands the trees are always standing on a plain. And there is no bamboo in the Netherlands, so there is less contrast. The light is also brighter in Japan. But I can't fully explain, somehow Japanese trees just look different.

Spectacular views. But for a "sacred" mountain, seems trashy and commercial with the snack shops and metal gates for convenience of tourists.
Climbing Mt Fuji is one of my bucket list to do, your video gave me the idea to climb at 5am, instead of overnight to watch the sun rise, thanks!!!

@t Hey! Here's an article about an ill-planned climb of one of Japan's favourite peaks, Daisen in Tottori prefecture. It's a relatively easy climb if you're half-sensible (we weren't), and I recommend it highly.

The computerized music kills the beauty and peacefulness of the images.

"It was totally worth it, but I'm not sure I want to do it again". Yeah, that's what they all say at first, and a few days later you start planning your next visit :D . Next time I'm in Japan I definitely will get out of the cities and go explore the scenery. Only got to see Mt. Fuji from the train while travelling from Tokyo to Fukuoka.

Ik vind dat Japan jullie moet betalen voor de mooie video's die je maakt. Zou direct in een reisbureau reclame kunnen xD
