You can beat them with slower units but you need trees and cover to do it. I had that exact experience using Dwarfs but it is easier if you have Slayers or Grombrindal's 35% extra speed. Rune of Speed is also massive.

Not only are the Knights of Origo still around, but they've also taken parts of Tilea and has an army fighting an army of his alongside an army from Wuzzrag, but also has Repanse asking for trade deals. And not to mention also having a trade deal already with Thorek

One of the cases where the downgrade of the unit (Crypt Ghouls) actually makes the army more powerful. By being able to stealth up to horse archers, box them in and tie them up you limit a lot of the weaknesses of this strat. Or you know just bring some black knights, bats, vargheists, blood knights, varghulf, terrorgheist, vampire heroes, allied units or anything else. However I do strongly sympathize with the Crypt Horror spam. They're so fun to watch and use, its like having trolls that actually want to fight, and there's very few things as satisfying as watching a group of crypt horrors encircle and quickly beat to death a supposedly very scary enemy lord. Still, black knights are cheap, durable and wont stop you from enjoying your Crypt Horror fetish. ,

I know its probability not a high community interest campaign but I'd actually like to see Legend do a Ghorst campaign. I know the beginning is easy, but I'd like to see who he chooses to fight and where he expands and how he manages surrounded by missile heavy factions. Also who he decides to ally with. Lots of options for strategy.

I am pretty sure he did some a while ago. The solution is zombie spam, blob up in forest in battle, wind of death them or just beat them into a pulp with Ghorsts uberzombies and cheap vanhels dance macabre (attack and speed buff). AI will constantly underestimate the power of your zombies and send not enough armies and even your very cheap necromancer+zombie armies will be able to take out enemy elite stacks. Expand to kugath province first, because he is dangerous and the province gives a lot of money. After that you generally steamroll in any direction you want. The fight against kugath is by far the most challenging fight in the whole campaign. It is a fun campaign, your zombies give you a very strong economic and military backbone. It will kill your fps though. I am on a 5800x3d and zombie blobs still bring the game down to a stuttery sub 10fps mess.

sometimes you just want something different than a zombie spam XD also the are pretty good together with a necro/zombie spam. they kill some of the stuff your zombies might have problems with (though ghorst zombies on their own will already beat nearly everything). they deliver good stopping power in a zombie blob. later on enemy ai will try to snipe your necromancers in the blob and crypt horrors protect them with their mass against melee and size against range. also they dont nearly cost as much fps as another zombie stack, finish fights a little bit faster and are pretty cheap. it probably is still more efficient as ghorst to just spam necro+zombies stacks, but you really don't need to play very effective in ghorst campaign, so I can understand that player building a few. just don't let them get caught alone, because they are way weaker than a necro+zombies stack on its own :)

Honestly If you face anything other than Fire or a lot of mortars then you can NOT lose with 19 zombies. Those zombies will wear down anything even on highest difficulty. For the cost of 109 gold per turn you WILL destroy lvl 50 Kholek Suneater with full stack of fully upgraded max chevrons Dragon Ogres Sheogorath's.

@@samarkand1585 they lost over half of their health without support in that minute before the second army joined. they were getting surrounded and charged by two enemy units on highest battle difficulty. they have low melee defense. thats a lot of damage incoming. when they got support, they stabilized and got back a lot of health. with a little bit more micro, legend probably could have saved a few more models. vargheists are glass cannons and "no high threat targets", so they will enormously profit from support to soak dmg for them. send them to fight stuff that runs away or cannot defend itself or give it some dmg soaking support units or it will break like glass. to be fair, kislev is very strong against that type of unit, because their passive lets them fight to the death and even counters the terror. vargheist work much better agains empire.
