You know a side benefit to being Carnivore? Fridge Clean-up. You dont have to open the vegetable drawer every 10 days and throw away all the items that have rotted! No more spending the cash on things you'll toss

Yes! I shop at my local butcher shop and about every two weeks I do a pick up at Walmart for plain sparkling water, and occasionally some goat cheese, rolled in blueberries … that is my decadent treat that I allow myself once in a while.

Yes I just moved into a new apartment with lots of cupboards and I thought how sad is it that I won't be filling these things up like I used to in the past😂

Shad Helmstetter’s book changed my life. I would read some of his commentaries into a tape recorder and listen to them every day. I have tried to reorder the book but can’t find it any more. Enjoyed this interview. Admire Anita very much. I am one of those 76 year old admirers, almost completely carnivore. I don’t eat anywhere near as much as I used to. Mostly meat and eggs. Wonderful discussion. I never had the kind of weight to lose that Anita did, but have eliminated many disfunctions. I have always done a lot of exercise but it is so much easier now, I hated my tummy but it has gone now. I value my brain clarity and my svelte shape, and will stay this way until I pass. Don’t have the tech skills that you and Anita have but can and do write a lot. Not eating carbs and sugars and veggies and using appropriate self language have changed my life totally.

I wasn't addicted to highly processed foods. I was eating mostly vegetarian food, whole grains and brown rice and sour dough bread. All the beans and lentils etc. But could not lose weight. Not until i tried keto. I was very strict with keto for first year. Gave away all so-called healthy carbs including whole grain oats. Trying keto/carnivore now.

I understand that completely. I could actually still work my K9 partner when I was over 300lbs, so I convinced myself I was 'ok', even though I knew I was'nt.

Great job by two of my favorite and highly respected folks in this community. Anita, you are always so genuine and open with all of us. You have shared your entire journey with us and not just the victories either. You and Rob both get into the very raw and real details of not only a carnivore journey but a life journey. I opine that it is this way of sharing and inspiring us that keeps you both so relatable and approachable. Thank you both for what you give to this community each and every day. Love you both!!

Doctors can't seem to help, because they aren't trained on nutrition and even resist this way of eating. And big companies earned a lot from processed foods, or selling medications. We have to do our own research, and we have to really want better health.

Very true! It's fine to get advice from a professional, but we are all smart enough to gather evidence and reach reasoned conclusions. We have to think for ourselves.

I did keto and IF lost 53 lb and gained back 25. I am highly addicted to sugar and really don't know how to get on that Carnivore with all that sugat craving. Doing keto at least i could have dugar free or keto sweets but with carnivore it's very hard 😢😢😢😢

I found that eliminating all sweet foods including sugar free was the only way. Sparkling water is a good treat. It might be rough for a couple of weeks but worth it to be free.
