Thank you Adeola for another wonderful episode and congrats on your grant. Well the problem of Africa and Nigeria in particular is far deeper than just the leaders. The society and the peoples' mind need re-orientation. We have sacrificed the values that make societies great (honesty, integrity, respect, dignity) on the alter of quick money, ill-gotten wealth, material acquisitions. Remember you can't give what you don't have, our politicians only exhibit what they learnt from the society and am sorry to say this, even the young ones seem worse than these guys... You might debate this but am talking out of my interactions with university students for the 20 months I worked in a university in Nigeria... Our problem is far deeper than it seems.
@Daw37646 жыл бұрын
I fully agreed with you. Leaders actions are an image of what the society believes in. Nigeria believes in quick money, flashy lifestyle , a society where poor are vilified Big thieves are celebrated . To take control of Nigeria a lot of work is needed to get red of this ideologies so as to instill in the young Nigerians that wealth is good but integrity and humility are the cornerstone of any prosperous and safe society, a society where leaders are humble and servant to the people and a society where a man is respected based on his integrity not money.
@ralfosha_x6 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right. It'll still take a HARD leader however to spearhead discipline. People do what they want if there's no authority is aggressively challenge such action. Growing up in my own home, I dare not open the pot to take a piece of meat, the day my older sister didn't it, I had more guts to do it when no one was watching. We don't need "nice" people in authority because we're in a very critical state. We need independent, shroud, no nonsense, decisive, hard president and senate president that will hold the next subordinates accountable for every gadam actions, inactions, spendings and at the same time have a visionary mind to take Nigeria to the heights it belongs. Politicking is supposedly a hard task to be occupied by selfless ordinary individual with young and fresh minds and ideas, but the way these Flintstones chase offices for money and power tells a lot they're after personal ambitions nothing more. Where are the Nelson Mandelas, Quadaffis, Delalamas, Luther Kings jnr, Gandhis of our country at this crucial hour? Above all, we need love and unity to make peace with our differences. That's what this renowned revolutionaries have in common.

You do such a great job to enlighten people, but I just do not know what is will take to wake up the Nigerian people, most importantly youths? I mean you do your part, Omoyele Sowore has been to every nook and cranny in Nigeria, yet it seems like we aren't clamoring enough for change in Nigeria. As of today, Atiku emerges for PDP and Buhari for APC in 2019 ???? and some youths are excited to vote for atiku?? I just do not know if things are ever going to get better. Can we call on the entertainment industries, the churches to respond to this chaos?? Wonderful show as always. me and my husband continually look forward to watching every episode.

Welcome back ADEOLA!!! When I got your post notification, my heart leaped! Congrats as well on that grant! I want to join your media team. Do we have a revolutionary presidential /senate president candidate yet in Nigeria? It'll takes a HARD leader to spearhead for affairs of the country to greater heights and instil discipline in a country where lawlessness and crime abounds. People do what they want if there's no authority to aggressively challenge such actions. We don't need "NICE" people in authority because we're in a very critical state. Actually, its painful dat all this things keep repeating itself over and over again, the rigging, the embezzlement of public funds, the cycle of Nigerian leaders among the pen robbers who are greedy not to retire, but gain pleasure in advance thievery called godfatherism. I wish I could give up on Nigeria, its my home, our home, its all left to us 'the You n Me who knows what we r missing in terms of good leadership' to do something in our own quota. Nigeria deteriorates per second, am not mentioning names, but all the aspirants are mind-alike, going to embezzle and enrich themselves, we all need to rise to do something. Everyone both home n abroad we can do this!!! Concerning other African countries its so pathetic how they r being used by 1 recurrent hardened criminal leader. Wish we will all wise up. Missed you Adeola, been waiting for a while.... Congrats on ur thousand dollars ... More coming....

Ghana still has many flaws but the little strives we have made did not come cheap. it seem like many of you do not know that dark side of our history. We have had about six coups in Ghana. bloody revolutions were many lost their lives. the only difference is that in all of the conflicts civilian casualty was not that great. Conflicts were mainly between military factions. political prisoners had to broken out of prisons because there were those who believed in their cause. so many people died some of them mysteriously which we are still investigating to find the culprits. try to learn the history of Ghana form 1966 to 1982: it was not pretty trust me. The people of Ghana rose up and started a revolution. I think Nigerians need to do the same. stop leaving your country. stay and fight and change what you don't like about your country
