Sure this is neat tech, but let’s face it, it would be 1000x better if it actually made products that were REPAIRABLE (instead of blocking all independent repairs), UPGRADEABLE ) instead of making everything soldered on, and REUSABLE ( by providing documentation on retired products) Yes they are not alone in terrible anti-green business practices (looking at you Samsung), but they are a huge part of the problem and they often lead the way.

yea, even though there exist low or bad quality batteries, I do believe apple could have made the replacement process better by not putting an encryption chips on it = =

Workers at one assembly factory make base wages of 1530 yuan ($244) per month. How much Daisy cost to make, maintain, and include in a chain of production? Of course, no roof nets are needed for Daisy.

Yet the sheep that believe our DOJ attack against Apple is good. Apple helps this planet in more positive ways than negative. There is no monopoly. A monopoly implies that there is no choice. You have a choice! Android.

Be careful here! Let’s not be in such a rush to destroy still useful devices! While recycling is needed, it’s not the first step once a person wants a new device! The first step is new ownership, or salvage useful parts to repair other like devices! Scraping a device like Daisy does is the very last option. But even Daisy needs a device that is designed to be repairable! As material recovery shouldn’t be a crowbar event! >> Support the Right to Repair

Quick note: The prices they are gonna give you are actually pretty small. Especially when you use you iPhone for longer periods of time. Even when you buy the new iPhone every year and trade in the last model in perfect condition you have to pay a lot of 💰 on top of

my friend said apple is recycling their device at higher value than other retailers or phone sellers in hong kong. I'm not sure if thats the case though as I haven't tried it yet. I typically dont sold my apple device because of privacy concern and the fact that they last so so long.

What an amazing video nikias. Did you reach out to Apple with this concept or did they think of it? Thanks!

The problem is 90% of the phones recycled by daisy shouldn’t be recycled in the first place, even an iPhone 6 still has some life left and its parts are still useful to repair other iPhones

Seriously? Apple used to make laptops where the battery, the hard disk and the RAM could be swapped which gave the laptop a long life brfore landfill. Now nothing is upgradable - just chuck it out and buy a new one. Apple's actions don't match the marketing.

I don’t know if Daisy automatically detect the iPhones but if don’t, it should be have AI intelligence With a type-c cable 🔌 so it detects better the type of iPhone 📲 that is. And i should have a automatic system that organizes all the different pieces which the different iPhones 📲.

It’s funny how people bitch & fuss about robots taking jobs, they not saying anything about this robot taking jobs from people. So, I guess it’s alright for apple to do it, but nobody else.

with all the effort put on environmental conservation and R&D into that field that is clearly not related to the company's profit, I just dont understand how apple is not giving back to the society. like, who else would have put this much effort into recycling their devices? they would have just crush the device and get the valuable metal though chemical methods in some third-world country and use it as a selling point, instead of creating a robot for that.
