@@mercy3765 I know that, but what I said still applies. Keener may have been chosen as a "test agent", but why him? Because he had the skills they wanted, that's why. But you also have to remember about Keener, the government didn't back him and his team up when they needed it the most. I'm not agreeing with what Keener did, I understand his mentality of going Rogue. If Loyalty is such a high requirement for the SHD, and he didn't get that from the government he was sworn to protect and rebuild, wouldn't you feel betrayed? A lot of people would say yes to joining but very few are able to actually pass their tests. If their training and selection is anything like real world special operations selection, you will be sleeping a maximum of a few hours a week, every waking moment is you carrying something very heavy across a very long distance in the shortest amount of time. On top of that you are expected to perform under these conditions without fail. It's to test you past your breaking point mentally and physically after weeks of nonstop training and absolute pain and discomfort. Its not easy and only a few can actually make it. This is all good for an agent, just one major problem. Combat experience, this plays a huge role in how a person manages in hostile environments. For example the agents that don't have a military or law enforcement background have a hard time managing in a firefight as since they haven't experienced the heat of a firefight and it clouds their judgement on top of that all the adrenaline that courses through them affects their aiming and gun handling. As we've seen through rogue agents that not all of them have the mental capacity and in the end chose their survival over their cause. So no matter how much u train you're never ready, you're only ready enough. Ik this is a video game but if we're being realistic

Nah man, there's gotta be a Division accounting agent. Like I wouldn't be surprised if the major hubs we see in that one map in Division 2 (I won't say when or where for spoiler reasons) all had at least ONE accountant. And Division Cells stationed in areas like Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and other rural states would have alot of their agents come from Search And rescue, Wildlife preserves, Forest Rangers, and other types of backgrounds. Hell. The worst place to be stationed in my opinion would be Hawaii. Because you know if shit goes down - that island only has 10 days worth of food for it's state's populace at any one time (that doesn't include all of the inevitable refugees and trapped tourists that were on the island when shit goes down, so it's even less) so I say without a doubt whatever bullshit we see in Washington DC and New York is 10x times worse in Hawaii. The game also has like these super secret hidden bunkers in the middle of cities for the Big shade nodes and stuff, but in reality many states have the majority of their land owned by the US federal government, so more than likely the big nodes would be secret bunkers in the middle of friggen nowhere guarded by a handful of dedicated division agents who were security guards in their civilian lives. The division sounds like it recruits based on what it believes is needed. It's a very flexible sounding agency, a Jack of all trades, master of very little.

The absolute worst part of being a SHD agent is having to drop everything and deploy when you're activated. Doesn't matter if you have a spouse and children, pets, aging parents who need your care, or good friends, none of them can know WHY you disappeared out of nowhere. Since immediate response is so essential one probably can't even notify someone to take over the care of a pet, much less a forever home. If you are a law abiding citizen without a criminal record you can purchase a firearm, get trained in the proficient use of said firearm, learn first aid and about disaster preparedness, take the needed action so that you and your loved ones will have what you need to survive in the event of a disaster. Begin a physical fitness regimen and include your loved ones in it, no one person can do it all alone. If you want to help more than just family and those you love, look into joining your local CERT ( Civilian Emergency Response Team) where you can get training and be ready to help your community in event of a disaster. There are a lot of resources available both online, in books and through government sources that can help you, your family and friends be better prepared and more resilient should a disaster strike. I have a Bachelors degree in Emergency Administration and Disaster Planning and teach Disaster preparedness, one of the most important things taught is that the first people to respond to an Emergency or disaster are the local citizens. If I somehow passed the psych tests, I'd join sure. I doubt however they would allow someone like me to do so however. I have conditions (I won't say what because that's beside the point) that's corrected by medication. If the shit hits the fan and I no longer have access to that medication? People like myself and others like me (former military, high asvab score, good physical tests) would STILL wash out because we wouldn't be worth anything after a disaster takes longer than 15-30 days. Which is kind of the Divisions whole point. I doubt the candidate pool would even be that large. And the drop out rate would be extraordinary. TLDR: More than likely, I would be passed over for the Divison. But I would serve them PROUDLY as a member of the JTF - probably in logistics, accounting, or the armory.

You dont need to pass them, Agent kelso failed spectacularly but had enough mental resilience to still be selected

Not so much for lore, and more of a vid based on real research, NSPD51 is a real directive signed by President George Bush in 07, Google it.

Now I’m curious about agents paycheck. Do they get paid as a government staff or they’re just doing volunteer work?
@bodenhamilton26945 жыл бұрын
HMMMM?
@kyousey5 жыл бұрын
Here's my speculation, they are selected prior to any catastrophic events, yes? So while they are inactive, and is just a normal civilian, they are compensated by the government with enough support to maintain their livelihood until they are activated.
@Arbiton_store5 жыл бұрын
The turn in the gear they scavenge for credits. They basically get paid a commission for supplying gear to the vendors. The more items they pick up and sell, them more credits they earn.
@jamesmijares63665 жыл бұрын
Probably when they are dormant they receive a stipend to help fund the training activities and other activities pertaining to SHD. I'm guessing that if and when Directive 51 is activated they will probably get hazard pay and all the usual stuff that combat personnel receive. That is if they manage to bring back society as we know it. IF being the operative word.
@furrystarcat4 жыл бұрын
I suspect that they wouldn't, at least officially... Additional funds would show up in bank records, and could compromise an agent or the SHD if they got audited. If they DO get compensated, I suspect that it would be in the form of preternatural luck in winning drawings for free memberships that cover for training exercises, and the occasional minor lottory win. Basically, something that could be chalked up to random chance if questioned.

To think that a video game can get adults this immersed and even make them reevaluate their career and life choices really means the story writer did a very good job.

In life their are 3 groups. Group 1 : sheep- regular people minding their own business staying out of trouble living out their lives. Group 2:wolves- people that feed off the weak, causing trouble any where they go. And their is the final group. Sheepdog- the ones that protect the flock from wolves.

Im still waiting for that video on the division 2 hunters
@lazyboyterry5 жыл бұрын
I think the hunters are indeed the 3rd wave agents and a secret contingency kill team within SHD. but since the SHD was branded as a rogue agency, without goverment control and orders, the hunter members are just as lost as a normal division agent. since Black Tusk was also hunting for division agents, so the hunters choose to hide from them and can only trigger with pazzle like activities.

If there was a global version I doubt they have any agents here in the Phillipines... Partially because finding all of the traits mentioned in one person here is kinda hard. If there was though I am under the impression they will be activated pretty soon. The archipelago is in a precipice...
