My bells and whistle giant Schnauzer is resting calmly on his bed. I love the go to bed command. He has only been with me for 6 weeks and we have gone through airport security, flown first class, driven over 600 miles in one day and been to my grandchildren’s parties. His sense of smell and hearing is amazing. We were filling up at a shady gas station because I forgot to watch the tank. It was 10pm, no lights and I would have been scared. However my friend flipped around with a ferocious bark when a man approached me. I didn’t see or hear the guy. The stranger turned around and quickly left us alone. Worth every penny!

Very good explanation. You forgot to mention costs for competition, titling, and even the independent certification that all your dogs receive that proves they are certified working dogs. Even getting a basic CGC A/U costs money. 99% of trainers don't bother with independent certification like this. If you wanted to buy a dog, take it to a club and train it yourself, you could do it for less money, but it would be FAR from free, and you are limited by your skill level, limited time, and limited social experiences to your immediate surroundings. PDS takes these dogs to many places that my dogs have never been exposed to. If you need protection NOW you don't want to wait 3 or 4 years to grow yourself and your dog to this bare minimum level.

Great point! Military , cop dog. Take orders! Do it and don’t question. No thought, no thinking, tools, soldiers, equipment. A PP dog has to live a lifestyle, think and be ready, not get ready to go out and do a job. He’s always on the job.

Seriously. I worked with protection dog's before. The training that goes into these dog's are priceless. When you have a dog that you can turn on and off when it goes from family pet to man stopper, do you really need complain about price?

Thank you for your concern. We are all doing well. 50 Employees and no one is missing a paycheck here. Our business was positioned and well prepared for this type of interruption. We do a lot of online training and education and have been adapting modern communication tools, apps and programs for the last decade.

Is there any video that u have that can "train the trainer"? I always want to improve my skills, but sometimes it's really difficult when there is no one there to tell u if you are doing exactly right, if you're missing the smallest nuance, that makes all the difference. Sometimes I feel like I'm struggling and it bothers me terribly!! I take my work very seriously and I have great pride in the dogs I train, but, I ALWAYS want to up my game, but nobody willing or able to help me. Or, they want thousands of dollars to do it. I'm a simple family dog trainer, I don't make that kind of money. I live in NYC and not near any decent kennel or trainer. I think it would be so WONDERFUL if u would do a Q &A online once a week maybe. I would be THE FIRST TO SIGN IN!!😊👏💯

While it educates/entertains/amazes me, it also gets me very depressed at the same time, because while I'm a local pet dog trainer, my skills are so insignificant compared to yours😥😕. I want to learn so much more, but, have nobody around my way to help me in suburban NYC. I always feel like I'm not accomplished enough even though I have made a lot of people happy. I understand that you get what you pay for and that the amount of time put in and the level of expertise that is needed to properly train these these dogs drives the cost. I have no issue with someone charging exactly what they feel they are worth. I just want an idea of what the cost is so I know what I am going to pay when I do it. I really want to do this.

$75,000-$100,000....I am an amateur at this.... I basic and intermediate my own GSD’s. Watching what they do is simply astounding. Taking a nice little sable or black GSD puppy and training him/her to be a lethal man stopper while simultaneously being a kid lover is almost unheard of. Take into account their breeding lines and you are looking at serious $

Best is relative to the circumstances. But you could absolutely say they are the most consistent performers of all the working breeds.

Do you also train for service animals? I have epilepsy but they are nocturnal. My postical phase sometimes has me running outside not aware of my surroundings through creeks etc. I would like a dog to notify family members that are in the house or know how to run outside with me and alert ppl or vehicles if I am unable to find my way back. Strange request, I know. But also cannot put a price on my life.

Yes awesome!! Just wondering why you don’t use any other breeds such as the boerboel, tosa, real pit bull, American bulldog, and presa canario to name a few. These breeds are more powerful than the breeds shown but are much less responsive, and are much less obedient. Just wondering if that is the reason or something else because you are the expert.

Health reasons. No one wants to invest hundreds of hours on a puppy that may or may not be healthy as an adult. With the breeds I am developing I have full control over their genetics. I have tested and retested my breeding stock over three decades. I have video of three of my top sires at ten years of age. Breeders of these other breeds rarely test and rarely have any knowledge of health, longevity or temperment issues related to their breeding programs.

I play at training GSDs with adoption dogs of doubious stock. I put in ~$10-20K per year in vet , food snd supplies. Then there’s the unknown genetics. I lost one yo crippling anxiety hashes, fear of thunderstorm, lost one to HSA, lost one to Blasto my KSU’s, lost one to a contract replacement from breeder I was fostering fir,have one weUgh bad hops at 4/5 years old, have kne with a lipoma on his jock , bat bite with teeth interference, these dogs are ‘saved’ by my rescuing them but if I were younger (I’m 66 years old) and looking for a long term pet/ protection I would buy from here. Makes the most sense snd the biggest bang for your buck with the best chance for long term return on investment. I have lost 4 sure to
