That's exactly what I have said in the past. My heart broke for Kev and Meg when Amy died. I couldn't watch anything about Meg or Amy without crying, for a good year afterwards. The video Kev made, telling us of Amy's diagnosis, and all the lions chiming into Meg's roars, always makes the hair on my neck stand up. It was utterly beautiful and destroying at he same time.

I actually cheered out loud when you said they've given each other head bumps. Please get footage of that if you can! Icarus scored big going in the cage first instead of Meg...got all of the pieces meant for her. It's amazing that she jumped into the cage first once you unloaded Icarus. It means that she was aware of future events in the sense that she didn't want to ride with Icarus because of his aggression towards hyenas being dangerous for herself in an enclosed space. These animals are incredible. I could sit and watch them all day.

So I feel like I’m part of your animal family and you bring me so much happiness. Sometimes I even cry a bit because the relationship you have with your animals is so emotional. I can only imagine how wonderful it is to have a close loving bond with a powerful apex predator. I know your journey hasn’t always been easy, you’ve worked hard and sacrificed, all for the love and protection of these majestic animals. You are SO right, Kevin, with what you say about what the lions do for us humans , even just through a film screen. The way you film them, I can feel their muscles moving, pick up their immense strength of body and mood, character, and emotions. But in all that, at the core there is a calmness, awareness, awakeness, and even an overall Love which just exudes from them to whomever is watching them. I just find that strong something, which I am calling Love, is just them. It is the foundation of them, and seems to be what gives them this feeling of majesty. I can't explain it any better, but after watching them, I feel myself expanding in an inner way, and the wrinkles of human everyday life just melting away. Grand.
