My understanding of the lead actors comments on Anna's acting and her crying over it was that she had put herself in Ichikawa's shoes from their conversation on the sleepover. How his rebellion had less to do with his parents being too restrictive and more to do with him being afraid he was not good enough of a child. I think she identified with it and and her empathy and feelings for him drove her to tears.

Commenting again cause i just remembered this lol I've seen some people commenting on this, but for those who paid REAL ATTENTION (by real i mean real real LOL) in the ep Niko is introduced, she complains how the taxi didn't stop for her...in this ep, when Ichikawa checks pig man's account, one of the messages they "twitted" is also complaining about a taxi not stopping for them. The atention to details is crazy bro. Also, this account really exist. Apparently it was some form of marketing bc if you entered their page it is showing they follow "bokuyaba"😂

You cannot blame Ichikawa for what he did. If anything it just shows the growth in his character. The length he would go to protect the one he loves. It’s fortunate that this ended peacefully, but there could be other times where it could end up bad. That’s why be careful everyone. Also I told you to keep an eye on that model when I first saw her. Though they did change they way her and Ichikawa got each other lines and took out another “Yandere Yamada” moment when he got her line. Huge opportunity missed. Also like the beginning when they were brushing their teeth and Yamada messing with his hair.

Yeah while the anime is a massive 10/10 and honestly improves on the manga in some ways, one thing I do notice is that it skims over or downplays a lot of Yamada’s jealous moments. Kind of a shame since it’s usually pretty funny and shows she’s just as possessive and obsessed with Ichikawa as he is with her.

Another fat episode. Chapter covered 95,96,97,98 and half of 99. various little cuts and such. Big recommendation to read so to catch up on certain details. It also gives certain scenes a completely different feel. Moe teasing him was a lot more comedic. Little unfortunate BUT they are doing good work for the time slot. They nailed the most important parts with the dad and Ichi meeting PIGMAAAAAN 🐽🐽🐽🐽🐽. What did you think about the pacing? I wonder what growing up means to the two of them 🙃. SO the manga is on a month break basically, in prep for the release of colume 10. Gonna be "anime only" for a few episodes. 😢

Heckin pig man 🤭 I’m enjoying the pacing so far, it feels pretty natural and works for them. I’m so impatient that I want couples to get together right away in anime but it does a good job at keeping my attention and still satisfies the hopeless romantic in me without taking me out of the immersion 🤭 I think the concept of growing up is a good thing to them and the idea of what it is will probably change as they grow older…together 🤓

I like how the anime decided to make the phone drop more dramatic. Like the mom was the one who brought them their and was shown right after the phone dropped in the water. I wonder if Oshi no Ko influenced that decision haha
