Over billions of years, the volcanic hot spot that formed the volcano that is now the Crater of Diamonds, went on to produce a few more volcanoes, such as the Jackson Volcano that is underneath the city of Jackson, Mississippi and the island of Bermuda. The current location of the hot spot is east of Bermuda and is currently inactive.
