I'm more worried about government using A.I. to create a surveillance state. Yes it is possible and no one is paranoid for thinking it could happen, especially in this day in age.

Funny, because I work part time at a camera shop, and lots of people come in looking to buy gear that will differentiate from typical "smartphone" photos and most of the time, they WANT that shallow depth of field/background blur of a larger sensor to have a background/subject separation (as in your side-by-side comparison of the Flip 3 and Sony a7SIII). It's one of the reasons why people pay professional photographers for, for that "professional" look 😉. And these are people that don't necessarily have "trained eyes"

0:07 "The year was 1992, I was 12..." So was I. The computer I had then was an Epson Equity 1 (from 1990) with the 80186 chip. It had three main functions: MS-DOS, GWBASIC, and operating 186 DX word processing. It had no graphics card, so everything was in one color - green with a black background, and had a 5.25" floppy drive. I could play some games on it, but the games had to be in 8-bit and be compatible with the computer without a graphics card or the game had to be in text only. Good times...

My problem with the cloud is that soon everything will be in the cloud and your access and capability will depend one what you can afford one recent example Google no longer has unlimited storage for photos no more micro sd card now with Samsung and Apple.

there is certain amount of personal touch a photo gets when you shoot via a flim camera or a DSLR and edit a raw file latter on. AI just takes it away. sure its good to have it. but having a manual override on all AI things I think is necessary

You might want to tell that to Tesla, since they are in fact building a humanoid robot that can do your shopping and bring you drinks. And they even promise you will be able to out run it. Not sure how that's supposed to be reassuring 😅

Since all AI now sits on the phone itself, imagine suddenly all phones reaches AI singularity at the same time. We technically will be getting a familiar for each of us. Whether they tried to kill us or each other like in Person of Interest is another story.

Even this video old 1 years ago. I like how AI processing something. I'm using Realme 9 that are Oppo's sister, they have AI Smooth Engine pre-installed for improving performance, App launching for faster, less RAM usage, less battery usage and improving battery life and come with HM6 Samsung Sensor with AI API at Camera application for better image capturing even cost of this smartphone just $ 445.00 / € 229.99 / £ 313.65 / ₹ 17,499 better than flagship I thing if your are not hardcore smartphone gaming and recording video at 4K/8K.
