I was an oral surgeon at the Texas Department of Corrections for 7 years. This was at the height of the HIV epidemic and I was working with a very high risk population (about 1 in 20 were HIV positive). There would be no way I would allow ANY blood whatsoever on my skin. This M.D. is an idiot, not only for his cavalier attitude, but for not putting a potential Ebola patient in an isolation room. Did I not only cover my body, face, feet, and hair, but also my ears. I would never go to a hospital with such lax infection control.
