Come live here peacefully by all mean, but YOU must assimilate into OUR culture, don’t FORCE your culture on us. Not going to work. 😂😂😂

No, just the ones damaging the environment to the detriment of other species. Forcing smaller less aggressive and endangered species out of their natural nesting/breeding areas. Ever thought about how many forms of life have been killed or affected by the bowl of rice, cereal or loaf of bread you consume? The more people that live in the cities the greater the pressure on the farming areas outside the city.

I never heard Indian ringnecks as an invasive species in Australia,and I live in Sydney,and I can tell you no one here in Australia is allowed to kill parrots not even farmers,unless you want to cop a massive fine or even go to jail,all native species are protected by the law,all native species , and by the way we have no invasive parrot species,also nectar eaters don’t hybridise with seed eaters
@cjod33
@cjod33 7 күн бұрын
Incorrect. Culls of native birds has/ does occur. The main problem in the cities are the people who feed them. I've been part of a number authorised culls over the last twenty years or so. The amount of damage that the sulfer crested cockys do is incredible. The most incredible part about it, is the fact that the people who are causing the problem by feeding etc are the ones who yell n scream the most when the problem that they caused gets fixed up. There should be extreme fines etc for feeding native wildlife.

@@cjod33 I thought the government stopped the culling of parrots a long time ago,my mistake ,they must keep it quiet because of all the tree huggers if you know what I mean,wouldn’t it make more sense if instead of killing the parrots the farmers were allowed to export them and earn some extra income from the pet trade?

All these birds except the Indian ring neck are all native and galah is said like ga-lah not gaylah like it says in the video I think that the narrator has never to Australia nor does he even know what it's like here As an Australian I've never seen an Indian ring neck in the wild here, and there not really a problem here except for the sulphur crested cookatoo, those guys will potentially eat your house, they love timber windows and even the putty holding in the glass, but we love our birds here PS if you come to Australia the most dangerous bird is the magpie during breeding season, those fuckers will swoop like kamikaze and even draw blood

1. Cows provide meat and hides that have a monetary value. 2. It is easy to control populations of bovine. 3. Parrots have no agricultural value. 4. You can't milk a parrot. 5. Parrots have little food value. 6. Cows don't nest in crevices and under eaves. 7. Cows actually improve plant diversity on managed meadows.

Here in the Netherlands, ring-necked parakeets have also increased considerably in number in recent years. We now have a total of 22,000 birds. Unfortunately, they are now also moving to the rural areas. What strikes me personally is that birds of prey such as the hawk, instill considerable fear in these animals. So I think that perching posts far above the field and more places for birds of prey to nest could possibly be a solution.

I do however LOVE the fact that public outcry & Animal Rights groups are a big deterrent to poisoning or shooting them. If you kill them, we will come to their defense. 😅 Glad you noticed, lol.
