What I want from an AT ad is to know the interior colour/seats within the first couple of photos and the description needs to tell me about the individual car. I want details about the service history, if it has had the big jobs done, what brand the tyres are etc. I also want to know the exact options that were specified. Searching for a Range Rover, for example, and being told it will “make me feel like the king of the road” or similar, it useless. AT needs to add more tags/filters to the search, so I can refine by number of cylinders, car play, heated steering wheel, heated windscreen etc.

You’re wrong. What we customers need is an ‘experience’ 😂😂

The ability to effectively market a vehicle, whether online or in person, is what distinguishes good dealers from poor ones. AI is narrowing this gap, potentially misleading consumers by presenting subpar dealers in a more favorable light than they deserve. While good dealers invest time and effort into creating quality advertisements, AI offers a shortcut for those who lack the same dedication, undermining the value of genuine marketing efforts.

Which picture will AI choose? The one without the large dent in the side.

Personally I think AI should stay clear of a vehicle description. That's the sellers/dealers opportunity to point out the real positives and negatives - not to have AI generating a fake description. You can usually tell when AI has written a description. Ebay uses a similar method and it's horrendous. I personally wouldn't buy a car if the description has been written by AI. Why would anyone part with thousands of pounds if the seller can't be bothered to to spend half an hour writing a decent decent description?

Why didn’t he provide a simple demo of AI doing its work. Answers on a postcard.
