What confuses me the most is... why medium sized companies are doing the same interview processes like FAANG? The devs that get hired after code bootcamp, passing leetcode, and 4/5 interview rounds; 9 out of 10 times, they leave within 1 year :) .... I have been an engineer for 15 years at a Fortune 100 company. To this day, I did not need to use any of the data structures and design patterns they teach you in school. To me, SDE interview process is misplaced right now. They are putting everyone through the same interview process. Which is dumb and waste of money and time. To give you an analogy... the FAANG style interview process is great for finding an awesome SDE heart surgeon. But if your business needs a SDE nurse, perhaps you should try a different hiring process :)

Can you make a video to see if coding is truly for me? Like signs coding is for you?

The job market is atrocious tho. Im 16 turning 17 and dont even feel like coding anymore cuz even freelancing will be hard if I cant find a job. Plus I dont got a credit card or paypal account or whatever so yeah... Might try to become an entrepreneur even though it'll be even harder than programming.

No offense but this guy is full of it. He's just saying whatever he has to to shill his course/bootcamp. People need to realize that AI will hit SWE jobs like a truck and no amount of leetcode grinding and side project building will save you from that. If you're reading this and you are considering a career in coding or you're a junior who's currently struggling to get a first job then do youself a favour and consider an alternative career path. Or at least start building a skillset that is immune to automation on the side. This is what the majority of these phoney KZbin tech influences are doing right now. They can see the writing on the wall and are trying to transition to the influencer career path while selling you useless courses, fake motivational content, and so on. Human software engineers will not exist by the end of this decade. Period.

Nah man, software engineering will still exist and it will still be a highly paid job, but it will be very different in the next decade. This is what I keep saying. Software engineers are fundamentally problem solvers, this is the most important skillset to build in this new era, the ability to pick any tool to solve complex problems. Code is the tool today. In the future, it will most likely be using a combination of sophisticated AI agents to accomplish the same thing. The market is rough that's true, but you also have to think looking at the big picture, right now which other job can help you make 6 figures while having no threat of being replaced by AI? There are not many options. The mindset I am talking about is: become the best coder you can be, try to earn a lot of money while you still can, and always think about how you can standout in the market so you are not easy to replace. Learn about AI early to stay up to date on trends and use AI tools/APIs become 10x more productive/valuable as a dev. The course that you are talking about, this is what I am teaching. I dont sell it as the only way to succeed. It's for people who want to learn how to build AI projects and strategies on how to get a job in this competitive market. Nothing shady happening here.
