'A small question' and there goes another one loving to hear herself. I'm glad Rupert is smart at interrupting, wish he was even better, so many questioners with needless long stories.

It's astonishing to me how many people in his audience just blab out and interrupt him; it's really sad but how can these people have any hope. If you can't even listen to a teacher during your one question for him, and you need to narrate his answer back to everyone as an expression of whatever garbage ideas you might have, then I'm sorry you're not there to learn you're just there to self-affirm; she seems like she's just trying to get material for her book or some other nonsense. I know I'm being irritable but c'mon that obnoxious loud American accent twice the volume of Rupert just put me over the edge lol.

@@erawanpencil What you feel does not depend on her. It's your feeling. Based on your conditioning (about americans people and loud people combined! :) Not everyone feels the same way about that, so it's your responsibility. It's your job to ask "Who is angry at these people?" and to let go that anger, to investigate that I, to enquire "Who am I?" and move back toward Awareness, the real I. Please try to listen again with closed eyes and to apply what Rupert's talking about, letting her voice come to "you", to your real I, Awareness, and let that feeling dissolve back into what it really is. There's nothing other than Awareness, no other, no outside, so it really is an "inside job". Let go the idea of ignorant people and come back home, where everything is perfect, even her interrupting Rupert! ;) (I really can't stand who write angry comments instead of focusing on the gold inside these videos! JOKING!!! Love you all ;)

Awareness is beyond the sense organs . We are awareness per se ! The bodymind creates the sense of being separated . We create a reality by our sense organs , beliefs , thoughts and there lies our illusion of being separated . In pure awareness we connect again to our original beingness . In pure awareness there is only awareness . We are aware beings that got wrapped or trapped in our bodymind limitedness . Rupert has made it so clear . Thank you .

Enlightenment is a big thing..it's a major shift in one's consciousness..you understand life from a higher perspective. To get to that point a sea change in one's inner space is needed..that requires a purity in thought word n deed where all three are in alignment.

I think another way of looking at it is that; In any one moment of perception, we have 2 highways to choose from. Hwy 1 moves directly to conceptualization which has all the power and resources to trigger comparisons, contrasts, associations etc which kind of short circuits the awakening to awareness available. Hwy 2 remains with direct experience of the sensation of seeing. As Zen would say, leave the seeing in the seeing and the hearing in the hearing etc. When abiding in the sensation of seeing, the radiance of the underlying substance (awareness/knowingness) is revealed which does not require foggy or distortions of perceptics. The Tibetans call this Ihugpa..an alert yet self abiding presence with relaxed perception.

Well it's like a permanent and sensless smile,it's like when time stops,in my own experience i felt bodyless and vast i could not see or feel any form in me but at the same time i was near my deepest self.(The self that is before my name ,my body etc.I know is really hard to explain in words). I wonder how many people who have watched this, have experienced the state of awareness, and if it's the same - the one consciousness, why shouldn't everyone share a somewhat similar, if not a same sense of awareness? There is never an "in the body". There is never a "brain stem" or anything "held way below...". In a universe of thought, correct language is essential. To continue to use dualistic terms/ material terms, perpetuates the fiction of "matter", "bodies", "minds". And to the extent this language is used unconsciously, as would have to be the case, belief will maintain its grip on consciousness.

If the object comes to awareness then awareness meets the object in the moment for the object is awareness so really it is a matter of perception shift, as in, The moment the separate self or firstly perceived object realises it is aware and is it self that very awareness then awareness or Consciousness it self meets the separation at the divide and the veil is lifted, as in, The very thing, the very being that realises it's awareness becomes aware of awareness or consciousing being all that is and the two meet in the middle and become one, Awareness becomes aware through the separate self as the separate self becomes aware of awareness and so this here is a personally objective statement that if awareness meets you in the I of perceptual thought then awareness actually is aware it self and is infact as you say always coming to you but only when the separate self realises this then the awareness in you meets the awareness out of you and so it is then see that they were always one in a dance of reconnecting their broken bond at birth, Out of nothing came something that suggests nothing was already something but the something thinks it is all that it is missing the nothing that is and exists in the something as the something exists in nothing and in partial theory the nothing becomes something as the something becomes nothing, the nothing is already something but until the something realises it is nothing then it is just something and not at one with nothing, as in no-thing that man knows, Man in enlightenment realises it knows nothing or no-thing and in that moment the object of separation(something) becomes whole in realising it's nothingness as being the some thing that it is, and so nothingness refers to Consciousness which is just a label we give to describe and communicate an understand but really no-thing or nothing is short of explaining that really no-thing that man knows is knowing it's self in whole as everything to which the everything that is is something which is pure being or God in its entirety as all separate self's finding itself in the separation of self being removed, as one becomes with God they see that they are God and the mind meets the center, as in the individual mind or soul comes eye to eye with its maker and so God/Consciousness/no-thing becomes one with its own very self that is existing as an individual or a piece in the puzzle of the grand whole and I say this at the least expectancy of you understand what I mean but if you see that this is entirely not the case then you just missing the obvious fact that in the silver lining is the riddle that I place in standard to conjectory opinion that I exist, if I exist you exist to which God exists, I the everything I am to you the something I am to Consciousness the no-thing that I am, I am everything being something that is no-thing and so it lays to rest that the object subject relationship is removed for if no-thing that I am is something I am being then that is everything I am, Wowza, Think I arrived Rupert, Think I just completed it mate, Sry for the hassle but you know I know you know I know that you know I know you know I know, You know that I know you know you know that I know you know I know that I know so in luck of time changing does the vertality of my immaculate conception improve and futile to rates of constants, the speed of light remains slightly decreasing but as I come I refuel, I stock up and now I am massive, HUGE I SAY MY SON IS, HE IS A MONSTER, A BEAST, A FREE TO ROAM CAGED ANIMAL, Much love, No-thing known to man who know they know no-thing but no-thing in its whole as something which is everything, I am done, Peace, Love xx

Does Rupert really saying or believe that a person has no consciousness but a person is awareness only...
@condorianeverdormentailast9703
@condorianeverdormentailast9703 2 жыл бұрын
@@zztopzztop1686 Rupert uses the word consciousness and awareness likewise as in to Rupert He is Consciousness being a separated Being of it which came to the self realisation that if I am aware of this thing that I am being then so is the self of itself which I am now becoming aware of, As in, You are now conscious are you not? As in right now to yourself you are aware at least of this experience which is reading as well as the very experience of being aware that you are aware of reading, And so, In this very experience of just being aware that you are first aware and then having the experience of reading do you find yourself, self atoned or self masterful, As in, To the self that is reading there is no separation between you and the print which makes the print universal or translucent meaning that within this print is the separation dissolved for as I am conscious then so is the print that is being read now consciously and therefore so in, is Consciousness or Awareness experiencing itself as it's self is being experienced through these very conscious activities and so there in, well ar3 thing are seemingly made conscious by the inert behaviour between the conscious and subconscious becoming known of its self to be the first or primarily adjacent procedure of this new to me animation known now as a certainty or just plain ole, boring Consciousness that I am now becoming aware of.... Hope this helped somewhat of a degree. Happy hunting and remember to look up and always live. Xxx

In different quality of seeing objects come to awareness. But how is possible? All objects appear in awareness. There is no question of coming to awareness. I hope someone clear it.
@perothing
@perothing 3 жыл бұрын
You and he are both correct. Awareness is timeless, spaceless, and primordial, objects are not and timebound so they have to 'pop up' out of nothing within something (awareness) as manifestations. The arising within awareness is the birth of the object, so to speak. The viewing direction is more like a social analogy or practice to bring the mind to rest. Awareness and consciousness are actually not the same. Awareness is the absolute unborn principle whereas consciousness is always bound to some kind of embodiment and their senses. Consciousness has depth and represents birth as the material side of (universal) creation whereas awareness represents nothingness. In deep sleep, you can see consciousness disappear and re-appear within awareness. In between these two events, there's nothing to witness so one does not know if he exists or not. Consciousness 'reports' or mirrors back to awareness via objects. Hence the analogy of the viewing direction. Awareness without inherent objects is the absolute unborn Brahman.

There's no such thing as seer and seeing. Consciousness is misinterpreting and misperceiving and mis-experiencing itself as the seer , seeing and the seen. Actually there is no seeing or other sensory perceptions involved. Consciousness is happening within itself. You are it. Living your own experential distortions as a finite self in a mind posture. You will blossom back to your real nature in time as the mind lays itself off.

Thinking is not substantial. Thought devoid of its identification says more about the one from, with and in which it arises too. I have no shape location and time. Neither does Thought. Q & A doesn‘t work. You can only ask something, which is in your Mind, the superficial mind. More than this, the asking person knows , that there are cameras and people around. And… Rupert is a the teacher, who knows. Although he is against this hierachic princip, he is doing the same. The student suffers about the high-intelligent questiones and answers. „ be quiet“ Ramana said.

All these “teachings” can be very confusing in a way, they presume that there is some “miserable seeker” who has to do something in order to find something, namely, “The sought”; But I wonder What Truth was being sought 100 years ago? What seeker was there 100 years ago? What Understanding was there 100 years ago? What Nothingness was there 100 years ago? What “Now” was there? What Consciousness was there or hwat awareness what Void or what Abyss? And so on… Somebody said "The purpose of life is awakening to my private identity” well …100 years ago, Did I have the need to awakening to my private identity? I heard a modern master saying “This is all there is”, yeah this is all there is, but maybe its better to say, “This is all there WASN´T 100 years ago” Experiment: That face that you see in the mirror...Can that face see your Nothingness here? And can that Nothingness see who you really really are?

+Raf Raff An alternate view is that “teachings” arise in response to questions. Knowledge as a whole is based on such answering of questions. When one questions, one seeks answers. Being miserable while doing so is a personal option, not a procedural necessity. In any event, Rupert Spira's “teachings” are nothing more than an invitation to self inquiry. You don't have to be taught that you are conscious. This is the undeniable and inescapable experience of being. Rupert Spira is simply asking you to investigate what it is that 'knows' this conscious experience. Your question of what happened 100 years ago only has relevance if the 'I', the knower of conscious experience, is itself an object of that experience. As an object, the 'I' would be subject to, and dependent on, spacetime dynamics (cause/effect, observed change). Being subject to time, this 'I' is a temporary phenomenon. This dualistic fracture into Subject/Object is the issue upon which the matter turns. You are focusing on this split while Rupert is pointing out that a deep look at our own experience will expose the fact that this is not the observable case. The purpose of Douglas Harding's experiment you mention is to dramatize that what you look like is not who you are. Nothingness? Are we advancing our cause by invoking nothingness? Rupert suggests that you discover for yourself who the knower of conscious experience is. After this introduction, the miserable seeker just might disappear...

+Fred Fleming Words are confusing, you said "Rupert suggests that you discover for yourself who the knower of conscious experience is. After this introduction, the miserable seeker just might disappear..." The consciouness is knowing, knowingness, the knower is the witnessing, so its more consciouness, more maya; when there is no knower, no witnessing, no consciouness, no knowingness. and beyond all that, thats what you really really are, the rest are all concepts, more labels, in the maya, in the consciouness, even the witnessing or the knower, are concepts. anyway.... when the seeker, the seeking and the sought fall or drop, when you really see that you are not all that, then we dont have any more words. Was there any knower of the conscious experience 100 years ago? and if it there was a knower, was a knower of what? Did I have the need to find a knower 100 years ago? Does the knower know You? I really think most mastesr are just worshipping this consciouness and they are still stuck in the consciouness , or subtle states of consciouness. You are completely separate from consciouness. Your existence is independent of this body, You "existed" when the body wasn´t here. Even now you exist independently from the body. But without the body I dont´know that I am. I see myself completely apart from This consciouness, this knower , this void, this nothingness, or put the label you want. If you tell a seeker that he or she has do discover something the seeking starts. I want to have that!, I want the knower! I want the Void, I want I want.... but if you tell him or her to see by himself of herself that all this" wasn´t here", including the " I" how can you start any seeking at all ? the seeking of who or what ? You know that the knower, the wittnessing the conciouness, the whole package wasn´t here, YOU know that. it can't be other any one than Me !who else. You can ask anyone, was this here 100 years ago? the answer will be , NO. how is it posible to know that if you werent there already !

100 years ago is only an idea of your mind. Time is just an belief. One can know nothing except I AM. The nature of I Am is consciousness. That's the only fact we can be sure of. Everything else is beliefs. I Am(Consciousness or Awareness) is the Truth. It can not be simpler.

Of couse it is an idea... well you can change the proposition and say...."if I am not, was is there?. and This I am is confusing too. First the sense of being appears in the morning, blank, then appears the sense of I am a person the world etc etc.. You can call that" I am"... but all that wasnt here , even the sense of being, the consciouness wasn´t here, it disappears every day when you go to sleep.. the witnessing and the witnesser disappear , the Oneness dissapear ....words and more words, there were no words, there werent masters ...all this is a dream, the dream you had last night can not know you, can the consciouness know you? can the the void or nothingess know you? most teachers are stuck in this consciouness thing and " they " dont go beyond... of course you can´t go beyond coz knowledge dont´access to IT... I find words are confusing depends of the masters you listen to .. so for me its better to say.. all this wasn´t here

Does self-consciousness ever have the slightest suspicion that it is just consciousness?... ~ Does my own sensation of myself ever have the slightest suspicion that it is just a sensation?... ~ How can they find me?... ~ How can self-consciousness find me?... ~ They were not with me... ~ There was no self-consciousness with me... ~ There was no sensation of myself with me... ~ They haven´t found me... ~It is “myself” who sees that they were not present... ~ It is “myself” who sees myself without them... ~This selfness is the only thing there is... ~ It cannot be sought because it is never absent... ~ It cannot be found because absolutely nothing else is able to witness it... ~ It cannot be witnessed because it is the one that witnesses... ~Nothing else is apart from it... ~It is selfness... ~ sorry about my English !
