This is objectively false. I say this as someone who's been a fan since 2009. B.o.B was a phenomenal artist who made timeless music throughout his career. Listen to "One Day", "Coastline", "Joburg" and "E.T." for example. He didn't ride the wave, he created his own, so he could never be surpassed. The thing is... he changed his style. His music didn't become dated even by mainstream standards, have you not listened to Ether or any album after that? He slowly abandoned what made him so special to make music that reflects what's popular. It got to a point where he no longer sounds unique, like he's not even trying anymore. Now he just makes what I call strip club music... he rather talk about ejaculating on women than something actually meaningful. I used to be such a huge fan of B.o.B and I'm not just talking about his hit songs like Nothing on You and Airplanes. I'm talking about his mixtapes No Genre and B.o.B vs. Bobby Ray. He really was something special and I wish he would have stayed the way he was but I think the fame got to his head and he felt too pressured to change.
