Absolutely great point on how many review channels and reaction channels are intimidated into acting like they like things when in reality they know it's bad. I am so glad you are willing to speak out about these issues that many of us have been aware of for some time but because of societal pressure were afraid to speak out loud. In close circles of trusted friends we have been saying for years that we were going to start seeing big money losses for studios and other companies that participate in this woke nonsense. The moment that really did it for me was the totally forced "girl power" moment in Avengers Endgame. When I saw that I knew that Disney and Marvel had crossed a line and there were going to be consequences if they kept it up. Well the bill came due Disney. They lost half the value of their stock in 2023 and they deserve it.

Exactly! That’s exactly how i felt. I saw this stuff coming back in 2016 with the elections.. then from there it mutated into entertainment. You started to see in back in 2018, then around 2020 it was in full effect and everyone was in denial. Now all the way in 2024 people are finally starting to wake up. It’s sad that it took so long but i know exactly what you mean. When i caught on i was like.. how is no one seeing this. Then little by little you see people catching on. I remember an episode of The X-Files that was filmed in a realistic documentary style. In this episode, people’s fears start coming true or something like that. I started watching some of the old shows like Magnum PI, Rockford Files, The Fall Guy, A-Team and I love these shows! There was always a mix of races and women and people with disabilities included in the show and I never even thought about that when watching them. I just enjoyed them because it was nice to see the diversity of people. I was not alive for the tv show, but when I looked up the film and then the show, I had to wonder why they changed the character from white to black, and people back in the 2000s were critical of anyone who complained about it, calling you racist for not liking it. I pretty much only watch kdramas and am far happier because of that. They are much better written, produced, directed and acted than anything put out by Hollywood. And they aren't woke, except for the occasional one in which Netflix or Disney forces it in because they are footing the bill.

When it comes to DEI I look at this way. I've collected and read comics all my life. I collected Alpha Flight and the character Northstar was gay. While in the beginning they never came out and said because of the editors and the comic book code, they subtly hinted it until they could fully say it years later. No one had an issue with this because it's who the character always was. But to have read X-Men for decades of my life and have them retcon Iceman to be suddenly gay in order to force a narrative, that's over the line. They call us bigots etc. We're not, we just want our stories and characters protected from this sort of crap. I have no issue a character being gay, but done change and force a character who has never been gay to suddenly they are because you want to check boxes and are too lazy to put the work into developing and marketing a new character.
