My best friend as a kid was a marvel fan, so I would go over to his house on the weekends and immerse myself in the universe. I immediately was drawn into Silver Surfer's character because of how cool he looked but also his compelling story of being extremely powerful but imprisoned by his choices, burdened by overwhelming responsibility, but ultimately moved by humanity. Looking back, it's obvious the beautiful themes of masculinity that the original comics depicted, and it's no surprise that Disney would want to subvert that.

I’m black, and female and loved Marvel up until Infinity War, End Game to me sucked. I did like Shang Chi but nothing else since. So I cancelled Disney+ bought all my favorite Marvel and Star Wars movies for less than 50 bucks second hand blu ray. I can watch them anytime without Disney Gate Keeper. For those who don't know, when Galactus arrived to Zann-La Norrin and Shalla were there then Norrin offers Galactus to be his herald he gets cosmic power then becoming Silver Surfer. 3 years later Norrin rebelled against Galactus, fights Mephisto for a while meanwhile Galactus gets some vitals from Zann--La then Shalla gets imprisioned. Norrin gets back and gives Shalla some cosmic power to her then Zann-La gets better and Shalla remains Queen then time pasts Krees comes in and bla bla bla. All this mean Shalla never became a Silver Surfer, that's it budds #Peace

A strong female character doesn't just unreality overcome everything that's thrown out her. She doesn't just get to Thanos everyone into oblivion. A strong female character faces challenges that she has to work to overcome. At times she falls short of the goal and sometimes she overcomes it. A female who sends a message that both male and female can have the strength to face their own challenges. Either way it's a lesson in growing stronger and overcoming her demons. And this can go for males too, but we're focusing on females here at the moment.

The biggest issues have also bringing in villains with potential and one-offing them and then topping that with Nobody villains who also just so happen to-be women as well.
