The Son of Lebron James, is not projected to be drafted in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft despite earlier mock draft appearances. However Nepotism is something that will always exist. That being said, is bronny James even an NBA level prospect?
Not a hit piece: in this video, we analyse the NBA prospect Bronny, and try to decipher how good/bad he really is.

Bronny should talk with MJ and Shaq's sons all who played at least college ball, and with Shaq's son, Shareef, having played in G League. They'd know best about having that big shoe to fill, and having a GOAT/Top 10 of All Time as the father, except both MJ and Shaq never pushed for them to be NBA players. What I don't like about Bronny's situation is that LeBron is almost forcing him to NBA as soon as he can.

@@fitzroy6970 Maybe true. Point is, sometimes you need to step away from your own family and talk with someone from the outside. Just picking someone else’s brain can unlock something in your own mind. they will never know what its like having your father advocating for you left and right. talking about how great you are ... and how you are an nba ready player that could help an nba team right now. this is out of their ball park. they only handled the pressure of being sons to greats. but being the sons of greats who they also are pushing you all the time and making public comments about you and your skill talent and how good you are and you could be EASILY playing for an nba team (while you obviously cant) is something they can't relate with. Shaq and MJ didn't force their kids to be great basketball players, or basketball players at all, they didn't force them to the media and all of that. they told them to do their thing and if they are good enough to succeed on their own skillset, if not? welp you can choose a different path in life.

If Bronny wants to do what's best for him (and by doing so ignore his father's wish to play together), he should just stay in college for the entire 4 years. John Stockton, one of the greatest point guards ever, was an even worse player in his first year at Gonzaga (averaging 3 ppg, 1 apg and 1 TO). But 4 years of college really helped him develop into what he has become.

I've been watching Bronny James tape for the past two years or so. I predicted 4ppg, 2apg at the college level. It was quite evident that he was a good high school player, but not really a great talent that would warrant an NBA draft pick. I feel bad for the kid, it's not his fault people have high expectations of him and are too lazy to watch the film on him for themselves. In high school was a complimentary player, no where near the star player like his father. I wish the kid all the best, and hope he enjoys playing college ball, that it more than most people can achieve in athletics.

Kids who grow up around the periphery and see their dads struggle or only semi succeed through crazy hard work night develop that psychological edge, want to surpass their dads, and believe they could. Just speculation, though. The only exception I can kinda think of is Klay Thompson--his dad was a #1 overall pick with 2 rings. Klay was a #11 overall with 4.

Theres too many guards in front of him on the rotation taking away the minutes because he's not good enough to be put ahead of them. How many fowards did Lebron play with? Did that ever matter? Did they place them in front of him in the rotation taking away his minutes? All NBA players were once the best players on their teams. Now obviously most comes from certain states but if you think about theres only 50 states in the united states of America. This would mean NBA players for the most part were the best players in their state. There are only 68 teams in the NCAA who make it to march madness tournament. This means less than one player per team gets drafted. Also USC at this rate wont even make it to the tournament. If USC is that stacked full of NBA prospects their record would be way better. If Bronny James was NBA level prospect he wouldn't have so many guards ahead of him in the rotation. He would be the one taking their minutes. not the other way around. This is NBA we are talking about. It's not an issue of too many guards in front of him. It's an issue of he's not good enough.

Most NBA prospects were the absolute DAWG in middle school, HS and in college. Their are thousands of division one college basketball players. Throw in the international talent too. And only 60 people get drafted. He wouldn't have to just become better. He would basically have to exponentially better. Bronny James only shot at getting drafted his if Lebron were to sign with the team that drafts him. And Drafting bronny and getting a 39 year old Lebron is probably worth it. I don't get why people are proxy sympathy farming for Bronny and his heart condition, to minimize the truth about his basketball ability. We have nearly 10 years of footage, observation, and data to analyze Bronny's skill, and if you were honest and not some LeBron-sexual fan, it was obvious that Bronny WAS NOT THAT GOOD. Is he capable on the court? Sure, as a star on the local YMCA team, but he's never shown anything that would suggest he's NBA material. All you have to do is look at history, and history shows that sons of an All-Time Great (MJ, Magic, LeBron, etc) are never anywhere close to as good as their father. Whether it is a life of comfort, lack of struggle, lack of gifts, lack of grit, effort or determination; it doesn't matter really which combination of those factors, the clear observation that the kid won't be that good. You have Kobe and Steph Curry who had NBA dads that are turning out to be All-Time Greats, but the point is their fathers Joe Bryant and Dell Curry were not All-Time Greats, they were mediocre. I have always judged Bronny based on observation, and the facts about history, and I've been proven right since the day Bronny stepped on the court (he's been in the public eye for almost a decade now, plenty of evidence and footage). Do people even realize how hyped LeBron was pre-NBA? Mega-hyped, but the key point was he routinely touring the country destroying people and imposing his will on the court...we haven't seen ANY sign of this from Bronny.

Unpopular opinion, but I think training kids in sports before pre-teen age is generally a bad idea. It gets them deeply ingrained in one dimensional thinking, bad habits, and inability to adapt and develop. As someone who does mma, I see this a lot with my friends and acquaintances. The ones who have been doing it since they were small children end up getting destroyed by the ones who came into it as pre-teens or teens with 2 or 3 years of experience.

No professional sports team in the west will recruit a player with a heat problem. He might be able to play in China. For his size, the amount of great coaching he got from his dad, brushing all of fame NBA stars all his life, he's not a good player. Just your average dude playing at the gym. Nothing more. You'd think that with all that he'd be better. There were so many great better players than Brony who played in college that were never drafted.

Averaged 9 ppg for his 3 high school seasons. Averaging 6 ppg at USC. It's ridiculous that he's talked about as a NBA player. Lebron saying he's better than most of the current Lakers is so disrespectful to current Lakers players. I can only imagine what his teammates say behind closed doors. I'd bet my life savings Lebron will hardcore pressure the Lakers to draft Bronny.

He is actually a rookie who has a seizure in the offseason didn’t get a chance to play or practice off season, so it didn’t start the way he wanted and confidence was lost, which is more important than talent in basketball if you ever played. He still got the talent just got to get the confidence back that needs to be the focus. Kind of hard if he’s reading junk like this. I would just shut down all social media next year and focus on the game

He isn't worth a first round pick, but that's not a bad thing. He should pray to go undrafted so he and his father can pick their destinations. He won't get many minutes, but he will at least compete for a ring with his dad. His rookie hazing will be light and he won't have any pressure on himself. He needs to bulk up bad since he can't shoot for shit and his defense won't transition well in the NBA unless he gets bigger. His health history is a huge concern. A team will pick him up regardless, since his father wants to join him. There is no way he makes it to the second round just because of that.
