How BAD is building full EM on Yae Miko in Genshin Impact?

this video very quickly reminded how much I wish genshin had a "damage log" feature of some sort. Trying to figure out wtf is going on from the jumble of numbers some teams produce just feels like such a fools errand at times. Also it somehow made me think I really want a claymore version of the staff of scarlet sands to give to Dehya. Just because.

A SoSS equivalent would allow her to lean a lot more into EM was my thinking. A burgeon based hybrid Dehya similar to Soluna's hybrid Raiden. No idea how it would actually perform, but being able to supplement her lacking talent damage with boosted burgeons/reactions sounds interesting to me

There's a tool called gcsim, which is a genshin simulator they also have damage logs complete with buff/debuff timer and stuff. Might be a bit daunting to learn but i think it's worth it.

A max damage, and average damage per x amount of time, and total damage Then customize it further with a crit damage, reaction damage, and X element damage

There was a tool from CN in the past that actually logged realtime damage statistics from reading from the RAM buffer. It’s been a long time since it worked (since like 2.5) but it was a cool tool that showed every characters damage contribution and exact damage they did in a rotation. I was able to use it for a time, but no one has bothered to update it.

Full em is only good with hyperbloom. For aggravate youd still want both em and crit

The flat damage bonus you get from catalyze reactions, just like buffs from Yun Jin, Shenhe, or Xianyun, still go through the crit formula, so even in aggravate you should balance building EM, ATK, Crit, and DMG bonus: all of these will affect your damage.

This is so nostalgic to me. Full EM Yae was my very first serious character build when I started playing Genshin back in early 2023. Naturally, it was because of hyperbloom but her EM to ATK conversion paired with some lucky artifact drops back then made her deal some serious damage outside of the hyperbloom triggers. I love Yae so much.

What this video is making me want is to build my Dehya. I will admit when she uses her burst its so much fun but them making her burst be considered burst damage and not proc Yelan or Xinqui is diabolical. Even Kinich canon shots still proc these effects just fine. Idk why they had to give her that restriction as if she was op. Arle has op numbers even without reactions idk why Dehya had to be nerfed like this. Also i really want to get a Yae myself.

My overload team is chiori, xilonen, yae (em build) and dehya (em build) I call it the "afk team" Because i just use xilonen skill, then eskill for everyone, stand around and watch the carnage. Chiori's aimbot puppets hit enemies even if they're flying around, so it just works i have c2 chiori, so her damage is signficant.

There's probably a sweet spot between your normal build and the hybrid one where Miko does peak damage, but man it's funny to just see what an 800+ EM Miko can do lol

I think you should definitely mess around with burst dps yae if you have c2 xilonen! My idea was yae, nahida, fischl and xilonen, but i sadly do not have fischl built. Would love to see that! Also great vid!

Building my yae has always been weird, but assuming I'm in aoe and running my nahida/yaoyao/furina/yae quickbloom, em sands seems to be ideal for aggravates and hyperblooms. Unless I've misunderstood how quickbloom works, which is possible

Great a rare Yae Miko showcase Have her C6 R1 with Golden Troupe. One of my top 5 characters in the game with Furina,Kazuha,Nahida and Xilonen Reliable, constant DMG and no enemies can dodge her attacks. Not Burst dependant. Atk Goblet=Electro Goblet at this level of investment(Golden Troupe only) EM goblet only slightly worse if lots of crit substats (with Golden Troupe) Atk sands always better. EM is more for Dendro teams but I like having high raw DMG and watch her totems kill everything My Build: 100.0/203.2 crit,2290atk,33EM,115.5ER (golden troupe 4 piece+Kagura's Verity).

Kinda bad low key, you use opt to use an EM goblet for more aggravate dmg since you already have so much ark, and try not to overcap on crit rate (90 and bellow is good enough) and invest that into crit dmg instead, you will get better results 👍

My current 2 Abyss teams to take care of everything are: EmilieC1-DeyhaC3(soon MavuikaC2)-YaeC6-XilonenC0R1 RaidenC3-NahidaC3-KazuhaC2-FurinaC6 I have some variations of this where Yae is paired with Raiden

Strangely, when I've tried this kind of thing myself, her damage has hardly decreased by much. I believe I've had her around 700 EM with crit stats, and she did only about 1-2k less damage than my standard builds.

Agreed, Alhethim was def a pain in the butt to build. But he at least has a growth crit stat if I'm not mistaken. Yae is a fantastic char. I use her on my Knave team.

As a c6 yae haver who use her everywhere, yeah, full em sux, her only 1 reaction per 3 totems hit doesn't really work perfect with dendro, using raw dmg build with kazu and xilonen brings more dmg, especially after electrocharge buff furina yae kazu xilonen gives biggest dmg output

Normally yes, but the point is not to do what is “better” but to explore the different ways stats give value. Hence the title of this video. I normally dont use 4pc Troupe on her regardless because it’s not as universal a build option (worse for burst and worse on field), and I have very good 2pc combo builds better than my available 4pc Troupe pieces

I think you forgot that superconduct and burgeon exists. Hyperbloom has a lower damage ceiling than vape, but a really good damage floor. So its not "the best" but its good.

You saw nearly the same dmg and increased reaction dmg and thought “it sucks”? Thats an odd conclusion lol. The point wasnt to think this was more dmg optimal, the point was to go to an extreme of speccing into EM due to the passive and exploring if its that bad to do something unoptimal, and to show some benefits of it (increased transformative reaction dmg)

About 400 was wandering evenstar conversion. But that didnt matter all that much. Other than that, I had a good number of atk% substats that probably gave about 200 atk total I think. Then its just base attack (from Yae and Weapon) and the flat attack from feather
