The thing is even if they did nothing that car could go for 1500 now they know it has a few extras and with a few grand its could be worth over 4000 so if they did the work even at the garage they would make 500 without it going up if they don't restore it they are mad

So you fixed everything and then you sold it? :P I have the mk1 and apart from rust it has been a very reliable car. It isn't great to work on, but you don't have to work on the engine all that much. And there isn't much that drives like this, so much fun.

The mk1 is the best MR2 if you ask me, it looks the best out of the 3 and everything can be done on it at home. I had one years ago and one could even change the timing belt on it without any special tools. I miss mine but I sold it back then because regular diesel family cars would out punch you at mid range speeds lol

I bought my 1990 G-Limited NA MR2 on my 18th Birthday in 2014 for £580, absolutely loved it and actually didn’t crash it, had it until last year when the rust was just too much, still managed to sell it for £1250 but it’s not been MOT’d by the new owner lol

wk1 - Make a video looking for a cheap car on facebook or ebay and not be confident enough to say "no thanks" when they get there and its complete junk. wk2 - Make a video acting really shocked when they realise the crap car is a crap car and they only got what they paid for car then never seen again - we saw it with £1 volvo, £50 civic, Streetka, Audi A4, blue MR2, MGF, E46.....list goes on yawn lather...rinse...repeat only interesting one was the girl they bought the 206 for

@@Eddie1992uk I agree, But I can tell you what happened to a couple of them. £1 Volvo is being used by alex, he brought home some patio bricks with it as can be seen on his instagram. Streetka was rusted to shit so it was scrapped after being parted out I believe? A4 was used by Jack for a while as a temporary replacement for his golf, Before being sold. Blue mr2 is a mystery though, so much for a build series. E46 compact is probably still knocking around.

So the car is stock aside from the oil cap and aftermarket steering wheel, great investment there by the previous owners. Removing the most important airbag for aesthetics, always a solid choice.

you can get a reinforcement plate for the weak sway bar mount area, I believe the Suspension Techniques branded ones come with a reinforcement plate as part of the full front/rear kit.

From memory, the manual gearbox is the same as the Celica gearbox of the same years. Just the linkage mechanism is different.

I would love to see you guys dropping a 2gr-fe 3.5l V6 into that mr2. Alot of parts can be sourced from other contempory toyota models like celica, camry and even hilux (headlights atleast). Mr2s has such potential to become extremely fast and fun to drive.

If you are doing shocks it would be good to see you put some lowering springs or even better coilovers on it. Then set it off with some nice staggered wheels seeing as you have to replace tyres anyway? It would be great to see one tastefully setup by you guys.

Mr Deuce is so much better.. this is a nice MR2.. but needs a LOT of work to get it up to standard. Whereas. Mr Deuce IS the standard to try and meet. Love the detail and attention paid on Mr Deuce.

Back in the 90’s when these come out I tried to race one in my tuned up Grand Am GT 5 speed! Well he drove around me like I was tied to a stump, when his boost finally did come in, 😂. Up till then, I thought I actually had a chance, then all of a sudden he just drove away out of sight! 😳 my first experience seeing a MR2! 😂

You forgot the t-bar seals, they are leaking always and them rusty parts are inside the door pillars and rear wheel arches. Other than that pretty solid MR2!
