I am a man from the Arabian desert. I have a piece of advice. You can drive in the sand even in a Camry. Just make the tires inflated from 8 to 10.
@Land_Raver3 ай бұрын
The smart ones let me air down their tires. But when it's really dry if you don't have high flotation tires it doesn't matter if you air down. The sand will not support the weight of your car before you run out of clearance and bottom out.

that must have been prior to Labor day....after that some rain and most could drive straight thru to beach from entry, but still a few yanks to be done...the Hillbilly mud bogging in the Ford with street tires....rich and no ice cream truck..

18" up tires do not have a belly as the old 15" tires that you could air down to 15-20 psi while going through sugar sand.
@Land_Raver9 ай бұрын
All depends on the ratio. If you can stay above a 50 aspect ratio, airing down still does a lot of good. 75 or more is the best.

i know on Matts Offroad Recovery most of them want 40" tires for the sand but don't seem to see any real tall tires on and of the vehicles on your channel is the sand different there or would taller tires work better

The bigger the better for sand. If I was constantly climbing dunes I would want bigger tires.

@@Land_Raver One piece of rope designed to stretch 30% to help you towing, when you use 3 pieces of rope you're stretching 90% losing energy on stretching the ropes not on towing.
@Land_Raver5 ай бұрын
@SHA3BOL1 The kinetic part of a kinetic strap is that the energy is stored when stretched keeping constant tension betwee me and the towed vehicle. It doesn't matter if I had 10 straps, they would only stretch enough to absorb the energy I use to pull. No energy is lost when you use a kinetic but it is stored in the stretching action.

@SHA3BOL1 I've pulled thousands of cars out of the sand and I've never been pulled backwards. That would only really happen to a light vehicle with an oversized kinetic that pulled way too hard.
