Tbh when you know how to tune balisongs (bushings and washers) it’s very easy. I can take a knife apart, clean, and put back together and tune perfectly in the matter of 15 or less

I’ve wanted a high quality balisong for about two years now, but they are so elusive. If I wanted a squid trainer I’d get one, because they are much more available. I’d like a live blade, but the kraken, talisong z, and all brs products are always out of stock. I see so many people flipping them and I wonder how they manage to get their hands on one. They are always out of stock. And they make so few that when there’s a drop you’re very lucky if you can get one. I don’t know, it makes it hard for anybody to get into the hobby.

Just got my first bali, a kershaw lucha, and I taped the edge so I can practice with it. But it feels really big and heavy and hard to do any simple tricks with it. If you are just getting into flipping, I recommend the Nautilus! It has some features that are a bit more beginner friendly, and is more friendly towards drops since it has plastic and metal vs. being all metal!
