I have been an Alabama fan my entire life and through those “dark ages”. Other Alabama fans are making me mad lately. We had a phenomenal run for so long. Even our “bad seasons” with Saban was a championship loss or a bowl game. I tried to never take it for granted. We still have a chance for the expanded playoffs. Just need to win out the season. Kalen is a good coach and supporting him the best I can.

He talked about how THEY didn’t play a complete game - referring to his players. In contrast, Sarkisan always used WE. Been a Bama fan since I was born and raised in Birmingham. I remember Stallings, the bad luck years, and it was rough. Saban's first year was a rebuilding year as well, and so I'm thinking our new coach might follow the same path. We're still Bama and it's still Roll Tide!

That was a very low energy game from both teams. I'm tickled pink that Tennessee won but, believe it or not, a little melancholy as I contemplate the departure of the Nicktator. He was one of a kind and irreplaceable. Loved the win but a little saddened by how far Alabama has fallen in such a short time. There won't be another coach like Saban for a while if ever.

@@eaglerider1826 Saban said that one of the reasons for him leaving was the lack of character in the players. Last year was more him willing that team into the play offs than it was pure talent. DeBoer is trying to get his system (which has worked everywhere he's gone) in place and work with a bunch of guys who are used to Saban's way of doing things all while under the pressure of a fan base that has been spoiled for 15 years. I think DeBoer will get the Tide rolling, but this is a rebuilding year for us. We shouldn't expect greatness out of this team. Milroe has never been a good QB.

DeBoer is the head coach now. We need to let him get settled in. He has a whole different style and it's worked everywhere he's gone. He didn't inherit the amazing team people think he did. Milroe has moments of greatness, but he's always been extremely inconsistent. This a rebuilding year for the Tide. Saban's not coming back. We need to give DeBoer time to get comfortable. Replacing the best coach of all time is not easy. Every mistake he makes people say the old coach wouldn't have done. Let's not forget Saban struggled with this group last year.

Many of the players are used to Saban's style. DeBoer is definitely different, but that's not always bad. He turned his FCS team into a 2 time national title. The loss against Tennessee was his 14th loss as a head coach ever. Give him time to settle in. I think we've got a good coach.

I originally came to this chanel after the Vanderbilt game because I'm so used to Bama fans being absolutely horrible douche bags that I wanted to see some salty tears and revel in it.
