The past decade has been difficult for Texas, but Steve Sarkisian learned from the best and I feel like the Longhorns are finally going in the right direction. Can we just take a moment to talk about how the receivers have improved so much from last year especially Jermaine Burton. they’ve emerged as a strength of the offense ( other than the runningback but they Bama they always good at that)Jalen Milroe and the offensive line performance completely overshadowed them. Fans definitely have to step it up. They actually booed the coaches (and maybe players) during the game - when we were down by four. It’s ridiculous. The coaches and players work very hard, and booing them is very disrespectful. It’s also very entitled - especially given the greatness (and spectacle) that the team has given us for over a decade. Most fans never have that experience. Basically, the team deserves much better than that. Regardless of the score or even their record, the team has earned our support.

It’s def a top ten loss since 2008. Our line cannot pass block. Also, there better be open tryouts for center this week. On Defense, our defensive backs disappeared in the fourth quarter. And they had the ball almost double the time we had the ball. 39:01 minutes vs 20:44 minutes. We can’t let that happen next week against Florida.

As a lifelong Texas fan, I know all too well the pain Alabama fans are feeling right now. I think it's probably safe to say that the Nick Saban era peaked a few seasons ago and that their historic dominance of college football is now in the rearview mirror. Not that they're a bad football at all, just not what they've been for what seems like eternity. But all dynasties come to an end eventually. That said, we may never see a program have the success they've had or a coach like Saban.

First, Thanks FunnyMaine. I've enjoyed watching these videos for years. What, no “Go on Jalen!” ? Each year I watch the spring game and this year was no different. This year I saw 4 QBs in action and my pick was the Ty Simpson for the starting QB job. Sure, he doesn’t have the experience Jalen Milroe or Tyler Buchner. But Ty looked better than Jalen and Tyler albeit the spring game is not the same pressure cooker as a game like Texas. My problem with Jalen is when the ball is centered he immediately follows his targeted receiver and lacks focus on reading the defense. Hence the interceptions against Texas. Jalen failed to read the defense and missed the “spy” laying in wait for the interception. To Jalen’s credit, he has made some REALLY nice on the money throws. Against MTSU Jalen was 13 for 18 for a team total of 5 TDs, two that were Jalen’s running. Again Texas, Jalen was 14 for 27 with 2 INTs that lead to Texas Touchdowns. Jalen attempted to run the ball when he got in trouble against Texas. And he was in trouble. A LOT. Jalen was sacked 5 times and I stopped counting hurries. Jalen is quick and strong, but he’s not Jaylen Hurtz. I didn’t like Hurtz scrambling with the ball either, but at least he knew when to get rid of the ball. I’m sure Milroe will get coached up this week before South Florida. I’m sure the O-line will get coached up too. Everyone will get coached up. They’ll all have calluses on their rear ends when it’s done and over. I’ll be watching the South Florida game closely next week because we all know Ole Miss is coming for us. Along with every other opponent on the schedule who saw Alabama play poorly against Texas. They’ll all be wanting to get a piece of BAMA too. Trying to keep it real. BAMA is my team and always will be. There’s a lot to improve on.
