I think the problem with Batman Who Laughs was that he was shown so much and, honestly, now he looks like Joker wearing an edgy batman suit, not like a Jokerized batman

He goes from joker batman to god level threat too quickly (and laziily) and he suffers for it. It would've been better to see how his goals morph with his deteriorating morals, which then leads to him killing his family.

I guess it's something they forgot when they made the character, but essentially the Batman who laughs isn't Batman driven into lunacy, it's Batman turned into the Joker, Joker hates to be even slightly imitated so I can totally see why he was eager to do this.

Batman knew going into this fight he was going up against himself, a crazy deadly version of himself, he knew the Batman who laughs would already know alot about him, how he fights, the way he thinks etc. So Batman had to do the one thing the Batman who laughs could never anticipate, teaming up with the clown prince of crime

The Batman Who Laughs is from a different universe than the main one. The Batman Who Laughs is from Earth -22 in the Dark Multiverse while regular Batman is from Earth 1 in the regular DC Multiverse.

From what I heard the writer was going to be the new lead for DC and over seeing the future of DC comic but people tried to cancel him. Some of the people that tried to cancel him where other writer and artist in DC but DC didn't do anything to stop it, so he lifted the company. So that probably why the resolution feel quick.
