I'm glad you are feeling better now. I can say that even though insurance is expensive and the 20% you pay can still put you into debt in the US, I always thank God because first of all, you will always get treatment and there is no shortage of medicine, equipment etc that so often happens in Kenya. I also have never been admitted in my life (thank you Jesus) but had an endoscopy done and just marveled at the level of care I received at my local hospital in Pennsylvania. Private hospitals in Kenya won't even look at you twice once you say you have no insurance or money to pay a deposit. I've lived in the UK too and there at least I used to go home after seeing the doctor not having to worry about a hefty bill.

Honestly medical bills is something else. Went to ER as well and the bills there after is alarming. Still struggling with the payment. Maybe i will try the financial assistance route and see if i can get such luck as you did.

Pole sana and thank God you are well now…we are lucky here in the UK healthcare is free since we pay a lot of tax so I cannot really say it’s free for citizens only otherwise people also get charged here. Hapa pia you can go private to jump queues if you want since free health care can sometimes take long time depending on the illness. It’s always good to have insurance. Asante sana for sharing 💕

I understand what you meant but God didn't choose for you to be sick. Neither does He want to take you away from your family. He is not the author of evil. Sickness if of the devil. Healing is the children of God bread. Jesus already took the stripes for our healing. By His stripes we are healed, set free and delivered. Receive total healing in Jesus Name, appropriate it in your life. Thank God for seeing you through it all. He is Faithful and True indeed. The devil is defeated.
