I have always loved Bhansali's movies' opulence and cinematography, even on the few occasions I felt mildly annoyed by the story-lines. But, till I saw your video, I never realised the extent of his genius. Do analyse a few more of his movies/scenes/songs from the movies! Would look forward to it.

Loved your video, this singnis very close to my heart and you brought it closer. I just wanted to make a few points. Although the analysis stands ground in terms of colour theory, the symbolism of having a Buddha face can also be discussed in this song. It could represent indifference or balance of life; peace or simply nirvana. Sofia's close up with it in background for me represents the fact that she is trying to bring the passion of life and love to Ethan in the background of his growing indifference towards himself and his desire to leave and let go of himself.

@@Cinemawali Apart from a few popular entertainment channels, there really is a dearth of Indian content on youtube, be it on cinema or science. So, it's really great that you're doing this (:

I absolutely love everything about this song and am quite blown away by your detailed analysis of it, particularly the intensity of the sparkles behind Hrithik. I am always moved by the unabashed love in his eyes at the end. I remember when I first saw the song, being struck by Aishwarya giving herself over completely to her character’s actions particularly the moment when she’s playing the air drums. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her be that free which is a testament to her trust and connection to her director. Over the years my appreciation and awe of Bhansali as a filmmaker has only grown particularly because of how much care he takes regarding every detail. And it’s clear that I’m unaware of most of it. So I’m grateful to you for opening our eyes to at least some of it.

@ASHISHKUMAR-mu2cr4 жыл бұрын
The logical analysis and color symbolism is beautifully explained. Some suggestions: 1. Try not pausing too often, it disrupts the flow 2. No need to play the full song rather only play those with major points. If they find your video good enough they'll anyway go to listen the song. 3. You could have better categorized like - we will talk about room background (add what room can in different ways), character dressing, etc. 4. At times feel overanalyzing I'm sure you'll do well

Regarding ur research on Bhansali
@AdityaSingh-oh2fw2 жыл бұрын
Maybe it's just me but Bhansali should've been a cinematographer or assistant director because inspite of his razor sharp eye, his stories on so many levels feels very flat and sometimes ridiculous. I love visually sophisticated films and Ridley Scott is one of my favorite, among with hundreds other international and some old cinema directors. I just thinks he is major step down compared to probably K Asif and Kamal Amrohi.
