Your family is catholic ? I'm reverted too, and study semitic language, and reveals many christians scriptures errors, and wrong understanding of Jesus's religion and culture. Example, the name Emmanuel in latin, but in hebrew it's a A'in for first letter, and more, it's a i vowel on the A'in, thus غِمّ is the root and means "group of people, nation" and because the vowel i here it's an exercice, not a person or object, but a practize. Then came the morphem AN : I'mman means Totally, all, then came the morphem AL (or EL in latin) and it's not about God, but the Service for Him, AL means Servant, of God. I'mmanuel means that it is the "Practize which makes the Unity among Nations, toward Allah". Prophet Muhammad (saws) got this caracteristic. Emmanuel never meant "God with us".

We don’t proclaim Trinity: We proclaim Jesus Christ the risen Lord and the coming King who would judge all the dead and the living. Instructive. Some of the discussion seems weird. Muslims believe that JESUS was borne without any human father---- then if it is so,calling JESUS as son of GOD is ok. Muslims call JESUS a miracle of GOD and spirit of GOD. This word SON OF GOD means the same--- JESUS is spiritual son of GOD. So why to argue about the words and verbal expressions --- when fundamental faith is the same ---- that JESUS was a miracle--- born without any human father. Call it Miracle/Spirit of GOD------ or The son of GOD ----- saying the same,with different wordings.

You're close to the preaching and practice of Jesus of the Bible. Now it's time for you to get closer. God Almighty in His mercy and love for you had DESTINED that all this knowledge of the truth came to you. What you do after knowledge of the truth has come to you is up to you. You can choose to accept and acknowledge the truth or you can choose to deny the truth. Truth remains the truth whether or not you like it. One of the names of The Quran is The Reminder. God Almighty calls the people of the previous scriptures BACK to the straight path - the path which they have abandoned / forgotten / c0rrupted / no knowledge of. Do YOU realize that the ONLY people on the face of the earth who practice and uphold and preach and defend the doctrine and honor of Jesus OF THE BIBLE are the Muslim????? It's an amazing situation really. On each and every fundamental doctrine, Christianity (overwhelming) is AGAINST Jesus of their very own scriptures BUT the Muslim is calling the Christians to go by what Jesus precticed and preached. 🤗 👉 Jesus gave the Trinity-DESTROYING testimony that THE FATHER (SINGLE PERSON) IS THE ONLY TRUE GOD but the Christians (overwhelming) testify that the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit (The Trinity) is the true God. 👉 John 4:21-22 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, *WORSHIP THE FATHER* . Ye worship ye know not what: *WE* know what *WE WORSHIP* : for salvation is of the Jews. Have another look: *WE WORSHIP* (The J-E-W na-ti-on INCLUDING ME - Jesus) 👉 “And this is life eternal, that they might know *YOU THE ONLY TRUE GOD* , and Jesus Christ, whom *YOU* have sent.” John 17:3 👉 John 20:17: “Jesus saith unto her, ...I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and TO MY GOD, AND YOUR GOD.” Have another look! ".... *TO MY GOD and YOUR GOD* " ME and YOU 👉 *WE* *WE WORSHIP* THE ONLY TRUE GOD - THE FATHER who is THE GOD OF ME (Jesus) and YOU 👉 *OUR GOD* 👉 And Jesus answered him, THE FIRST OF ALL the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord *OUR GOD* is one Lord Mark 12:29 👉 Jesus teaches: “Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and *HIM ONLY* shalt thou serve” Luke 4:8. Notice the words: “HIM ONLY.” Jesus did not say “US only,” or “Him and I only.” How could he possibly i it more clear than that? Jesus told to worship ONLY THE FATHER - who is THE GOD of Jesus too. 👉 NEVER preached about Original Sin 👉 NEVER preached that for salvation, people needed to believe that Jesus died (will die) for their sins 👉 NEVER preached that the wages of sins is death 👉 PREACHED that for the forgiveness - NO payment needed, NO sacrifice of Jesus, NO Jesus paid for us 👉 PREACHED that just turn away in sincere repentance and the Merciful God forgives 👉 PREACHED adherence to the comprehensive Law Code as the path to salvation 👉 PREACHED that for certain transgression (like mur-der) on the Law Code, CAPITAL punishment - PUTTING the transgressors to DE ATH - needed to be administered 👉 PREACHED that his followers SHALL IN NO WAY ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN if they do not keep the comprehensive Law Code even better and moreso than the Scribes and the Pharisees 👉 DID NOT eat p.i.g 👉 FASTED and PREACHED FASTING 👉 Greeted with the phrase "peace be with you" 👉 Jesus was CIRCUMCISED. AN EVERLASTING COVENANT IN FLESH for the believers till the end of times 👉 PREACHED that his followers follow the comprehensive Law Code which the Scribes and the Pharisees tell people to follow - that includes oblution / washing of the hands and feet before worship or entering a place of worship Of course the term the Father in the Jewish context. NOT that God has a Son.

The Bible testifies. 1) Jesus: ✅ THE FATHER (SINGLE PERSON) IS THE ONLY TRUE GOD. John 17:3. (The Muslim agrees with Jesus) Christians: ❌ NO. The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit (Triune-God / Godhead / The Trinity / One God in three persons or whatever you want to call it) is the true God. 2) Jesus: ✅NO payment needed, NO Jesus died for us. Just repent sincerely and the Merciful God (THE ONLY TRUE GOD - THE FATHER) forgives. (The Muslim agrees with Jesus) Christians: ❌ NO. Salvation comes by the blood of Jesus and his dying on the cross 3) Jesus: ✅ Keep the Laws and the commandments if you want eternal life (The Muslim agrees with Jesus) Christians: ❌ NO. Eternal life comes by faith in the sacrifice of Jesus 4) Jesus: ✅ Do NOT neglect even the smallest laws (The Muslim agrees with Jesus) Christians: ❌ NO. Those laws are unimportant 5) Jesus: ✅ I was sent ONLY for the lost sheep of Israel (The Muslim agrees with Jesus) Christians: ❌ NO. Jesus came for us all, Jesus came for all of mankind

Maybe you want to become a Muslim , Sister. Because how to worship God is objective not subjective , He wants you to worship Him the way He wants. How ? He sent a messenger ( Muhammad SAW ) to tell you exactly how we should worship Him , it's not wise to reject a messenger , because rejecting a messenger mean we reject God , we can't choose to believe in some and disbelieve in some , in fact , such person is described as the true disbelievers in the Quran . Surely those who deny Allah and His messengers and wish to make a distinction between Allah and His messengers, saying, “We believe in some and disbelieve in others,” desiring to forge a compromise, -Surah An-Nisāʾ, Ayah 150 they are indeed the true disbelievers. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment. -Surah An-Nisāʾ, Ayah 151 The Children of Israel disbelieve in Jesus pbuh , do not fall into the same mistake 🙏 My sincere advice 🙏

Greetings Paul, I'm slowly learning to be open-minded to these challenges of the Christian faith. In fact, one Muslim on Blogging Theology has been challenging my understanding of Christianity for over 2 years. His challenges have made me cognizant of scriptures in the Gospels that I previously ignored. So now I'm more open-minded to listen. So i appreciate your honesty and the information from Jimmy Dunn's book. I simply need to allow God to guide me. As i mentioned earlier, I've been watching Blogging Theology for over 2 years. Although I'm a Christian believer, I'm also finding challenges to accept the Quran as God's last revelation. Regarding the Gospel of John, i do understand the difficulty and challenges that we face in acceptance of supposedly "developed" themes and beliefs. One thing that strikes me as difficult to understand ( assuming much of John's Gospel was "developed" and not historical ), is the acceptance of John's Gospel as authentic by the other apostles and followers of Jesus Christ. If some of the followers of Jesus were still alive when John wrote his Gospel, i would think that they would have strongly rejected his fictionalized stories about Jesus. What do you think? Because I'm no scholar of Christianity, I can't simply disregard the challenges regarding Jesus' identity and the authenticity of His teachings. ( I might even read Jimmy Dunn's book ! ). Personally, I think we need to explore the challenges honestly and without fear of doubts. Of course the challenges may influence some doubts, but we should place our trust in God the Creator. Also, we should not assume that neither the Synoptic Gospels nor John's Gospel were the totality of what Jesus said. Of course a comparison between the Gospels is important. Although somewhat ambiguous, we need to include a correlation between various titles given to Jesus, including the "Son of God", the "son of man", the "Lord", the "Prophet", etc. In the face of this challenge, should we Christians assume that rejection of Jesus' divinity will necessarily lead us to acceptance of islam ? As i mentioned earlier, acceptance of the Quran itself is also a challenge ( at least for me ). By the way, I'm happy to hear that you had no intention of attacking Christianity in this post. I think both Muslims and Christians need to be respectful. If we challenge each other's faith, let us consider the way we communicate. Are we respectful or condescending to others ? Do we project an attitude of "superiority" when we share our beliefs? If we are respectful, then i have no problem with a well-argued and persuasive challenge. Peace of God to all Muslims and Christians. May God's love challenge us to follow Him !!

Then they preach to Christians that their God is a Jew and a Zionist and that he said "love your enemies/satans and pray for those who persecute you", turn the other cheek, dont even defend yourself, because the Zionists occupy and massacred the Christians too like in Russia, Ukraine, Germany, etc. It says Jesus turned to a woman and called her a dog. Jesus said whoever lives with a sword he would die by a sword....ITS A LIE, why would Jesus say that, its a stupid thing to say, many lived with weapons and died later of old age or sickness or accident... There is some truth in the Bible mixed with lies. Jesus turned to Peter and called him a satan. Is it not Peter/satan who established the church? It teaches blind following/worshiping the rabbis. Bible is fake, it was written 150 years ago, it says kill the Philistines (Palestinians) and then they invaded Palestine. We are all occupied and almost everything has become fake. Satans took over everything. You think these satans will allow true religion to spread? Only true god is the Truth/Justice...Goodness, and He/It is in the heart of a believer. I believe Eslaum, Goraun and true teachings of prophet Mohammed is the truth that we have today because it is same as my heart. I read as I believe, I dont believe because bunch of dudes came and told me this is what you have to believe. Eslaum is different than Islam. Real Mosslems are not allowed to even have a mosque anywhere in UN world. You can check Eslaum if you wish.

Very interesting Sidi Paul, thank you. I did ask a Christian friend briefly about this and he said that his belief does not come from rational analysis and evidence but from personal revelation/religious experiences/ he has had that guided him towards Jesus. He said if his faith was determined by rational analysis he would not be Christian. Maybe that's why Christianity traditionally sees religion as being in conflict with science while Islam is complementary with science
@johnbrzykcy30762 ай бұрын
I like your comments and I'm a Christian believer. However I don't see Christianity as being "in conflict with science". In fact, I believe that God Himself gave us the ability to do science! Regarding "rational analysis", it depends on how we view rationality. I myself have difficulty with some aspects of reasoning and thinking. But your Christian friend's personal experience in Christianity is valid. I can't refute another individual's experience/revelation. Personally, I think both reasoning and "revelation" can work together in being guided to the truth. But I think we have to be careful because sometimes our perception/mindset can be influenced by an experience which may or may not come from God. However, I am very reluctant to judge another person's experience. In fact, I'm often delighted by someone's positive and inspirational experience. By the way, I try to respect Muslims. And although I basically understand Paul's challenge on this post, I can't see a rejection of a Christian belief based upon the acceptance of a possible "development" of John's Gospel. I could be wrong. Respectfully from Florida USA

Over 100 times more "Father" usage in John. That's stunning. The difference in speech of Jesus in the Gospel of John is so apparent. It never felt quite right, nor historical Thank you Paul
@andrewferg87372 ай бұрын
"The difference in speech of Jesus in the Gospel of John is so apparent"--- because the last gospel was written for a different audience and at a different time. The apostle John lived until c. 100 AD when most of the original first generation Christians had already passed away. Thus the apostle John was reiterating what the those first Christians had all believed, that is the divinity of Christ. "It never felt quite right" --- Indeed. "the superstition of the Ishmaelites which to this day prevails and keeps people in error, being a forerunner of the Antichrist... for a false prophet named Mohammed has appeared in their midst. This man, after having chanced upon the Old and New Testaments and likewise, it seems, having conversed with an Arian monk, devised his own heresy" (John of Damascus c. 680 AD) "false Christs and false prophets will appear ... See, I have told you in advance...So if they tell you, ‘There He is in the desert,’ do not go out" (Matthew 24)

@andrewferg8737 so much I could say here, and I truly wish the best for you. Remember ALLAH - the Glorious and Exalted - is One God can not be man and man cannot be God. HE DOES NOT BECOME BIRTHED IN WHAT IS BIOLOGICALLY NOT TOO DISSIMILAR FROM A DONKEY'S BIRTH. BECOME A HELPLESS BABY, ALL THE WHILE NEEDING TO USE THE BATHROOM. THE GRECO-CHRISTIAN HERESY IS THE ONE YOU SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT. I DONT BELIEVE IN GREEK JESUS. SO EITHER COME TO THE PURE RELIGION WHERE ALMIGHTY GOD IS FAR SUPERIOR TO HIS CREATION OR SAY HELLO TO YOUR HINDU COUSINS. PEACE.

He will not shout or cry out or raise his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice; he will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his teaching the islands will put their hope.” This is what God the Lord says-the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it: “I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness. “I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols. See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.” Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise from the ends of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, you islands, and all who live in them. Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices; let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice. Let the people of Sela sing for joy; let them shout from the mountaintops." Kedar(son of Ishmael) = Arabs Sela = mountain in Medina He will be an Arab, preaching in Medina, singing a new song aka reciting the Quran, He will be a light to the gentiles, meaning he is not only sent to the children of Israel. John 14:30 ► I will not say much more to you, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold over me, John 16 13 Howbeit when he, the Prophet Ahmet(Hebrew), is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.[14] He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

@@andrewferg8737 your response as to why the gospel of John is different does not help your trinitarian case one bit. By saying that John was written for a different audience hence the difference, you rightly proved that those anonymous folks who wrote the Gospels were motivated by their agendas to write stuff in their Gospels. Hence you have liars who added the ending of Mark to somehow prove the resurrection, or the forgery related to trinity that has been removed from new Bibles. The crucial point here is that a person has a distinctive style of speaking/ writing in a given time period and if that changes radically then one can be confident that that speech or writing is not from him. For instance, anyone familiar with Samuel Johnson's writing style would know immediately that Merchant of Venice or A Tale of Two Cities was written by someone else- but give him any random essay from The Rambler and he would know it's from Johnson.
@andrewferg8737Ай бұрын
@@LITTLE-ROCK "anonymous folks who wrote the Gospels" ??? The crucial flaw in of the anonymous gospel conjecture as formulated by postmodernist critical literary theorists is its lack of evidence. There exists not one example of attribution to any individual other than the traditional authors. "Mark having become the interpreter of Peter, wrote down accurately whatsoever he remembered... he accompanied Peter, who accommodated his instructions to the necessities, but with no intention of giving a regular narrative of the Lord's sayings... Matthew put together the oracles in the Hebrew language" (St. Papias, Exposition of the Oracles of the Lord, c.110 AD) "Matthew also issued a written Gospel among the Hebrews in their own dialect, while Peter and Paul were preaching at Rome... After their departure, Mark, the disciple and interpreter of Peter, did also hand down to us in writing what had been preached by Peter. Luke also, the companion of Paul, recorded in a book the Gospel preached by him. Afterwards, John, the disciple of the Lord, who also had leaned upon His breast, did himself publish a Gospel during his residence at Ephesus in Asia." (St. Irenaeus Against Heresies, 3.1, c.180 AD)

Excellent analysis. It is strange that the author of the book still stuck to Christianity despite identifying the drastic change in language in gospel of John. Thank you for sharing.
@johnbrzykcy30762 ай бұрын
I understand your comments and it also surprises me that the author remains a Christian believer. Although I'm also a Christian believer, I understand this challenge based upon Jimmy Dunn's book. And I appreciate Paul's ( of Blogging Theology ) honesty and respect ( he said he's not attacking Christianity ). I myself can't see this specific challenge as initiating a complete change in my Christian beliefs. But I do see the challenge as initiating the necessity for more study, more guidance from God, and even more respect for the beliefs of other people ( especially Muslims ). To be honest, although I've never read the Quran, I do perceive Islam itself as a "challenge". However I'm slowly learning about Islam. Peace of God to you and your family Respectfully from Florida USA
