@miriamemanueleforneris3701 especially not those warp trains that claim to be beyond dimensionality and able to take you anywhere in a few seconds, but actually just take you outside of time where you're stuck there for thousands of years in your perspective and lose your sanity and can't even die because of the lack of time causing your biological processes to not be able to cease functioning. Yeah, you'll arrive to your destination in a few seconds, but it never said a few seconds in *your* perspective. It's a scam.

Nyarlathotep, Hastur...these descriptions are based on the avatars of physical depictions of themselves that they presented to the viewer at the time. Hastur's sign alone can manifest infinite pocket dimensions each filled with "infinite universes which were born grew and collapsed in the blink on an eye" per the story 'Farm'....and anyone who's seen S1 of True Detectives got a glimpse of Hastur as the star eating cosmic void in the vision Cohle had. These aren't entities that can be simply measured and scaled like Kaiju

An accurate description of The King In Yellow. Also would add The Carcossa is him and he is Carcossa it is his kingdom which he manifests wherever he goes, bringing all to slavery and subduction through their fears. Yellow is his colour after all. Nylarhothep: The Crawling Chaos - The Regal Purple of raw vital organs, a three legged insectile with a twitching tapered tendril for a head craved deep an anguished toothless maw. The Black Pharaoh - 10ft-15 tall Obsidian Egyptian God-King accented only in gold. Accursed Riches and Treasure are his curse to turn man against man. The Mocking Man - He manifests as anyone and everyone you see and know all sporting the same an impossible knowing sadistic smile drinking in your misery. The Whisper In The Dark - A living Shadow that shapes it's self from any shade cast no matter how small it knows everyone's deepest darkest secrets and torments you by whispering the knowledge of them in their ear at night and their dreams.

Well there are some missing like Yig, father of snakes, but in general i have to say that some of the are way smaller than i though, like Tsathoggua for an example, but i have to say how hilarious the cut in size with cthulhu came. Just before it were a tiny indy and suddenly 4 skyscrapers xD
@eziomorte3380Ай бұрын
Cthulhu (probably adding some later iterations ftom Lovecraft's friends expanding the Mythos) could be as small as man and as big as a continent, he could just simply change sizes at will.

This size Cthulu would have significant gravitational pull. I did some rough math, and if you were near it's center of mass (against its chest or abdomen), you'd have in the ballpark of 1-3lbs of force pulling on you, just from Cthulhu. Wild!

@francescosirotti8178Ай бұрын
Lovecraft mentioned the Nameless Mist in a family tree of Azathoth. (HPL: Selected Letters of H. P. Lovecraft 4.617). The Nameless Mist was given the name "Nyog'Sothep" and "N'yog-Sothep" by later authors. How much seriously you want to take that, given that HPL himself is in the tree is up to you. The "extended" mythos are somewhat weird...

Cthulhu is NOT 2 miles tall. If a modest size boat can split his head open, as it does in the story, that makes no sense at all. A few men opened the door from which he emerged. Though the opening moved smoothly on a fulcrum, ....if he were 2 miles tall ...the doorway size required would be so massive, it never would have OCCURRED to those men that said opening even WAS a door. Ridiculous.

Also they were mostly indescribable they were given some description in the books but they are so otherworldly and incomprehensible in human terms that it will drive you mad. But artists like to show what they look like with a limited human mind. So artist depict them differently, if you were from the 1920s this was horrifying stuff!😮😅
