ACK! my browser crashed before saving, so here we go again. in STASH - 53 diamond dotz 11 dreamer designs 3 DAC 4 WIPS 10 Finishes 18 don't feel bad or guilty about your craft/passion. keep on dotting, .ps. i just started last summer. the big DAC or dreamer designs are super long commitments for me. i work fulltime and take care of home/property solo. i'm kinda busy. BUT, the house is a wreck because i love diamond painting. this is not my only hobby either - there is gardening, knitting, crochet, quilting, sewing, puzzles, etc. there's never enough time in the world. i'll sleep when i die.

It's definitely a mental health issue to be aware of. I remember a middle aged lady giving a talk about how she became addicted to poker machine gambling. She talked a lot about the sensory nature of the lights, the different noises the machines make and joy of physically pulling the leaver and pressing buttons. And she talked about how the places that make money off these machines do everything to keep you addicted. Its weird but i think diamond painting has a lot of sensory triggers for people and the companys definitely constantly try to get you to buy more. They love creating a sense of "special" or "urgent". None of which is true.

Yes!! I admit, I did get sucked into the 'limited time' trap - these days, rarely do I find a 'must have'. Otherwise, I can wait for a bit. And if I miss out on something, then I wasn't meant to get it. 😊

Good afternoon Daphne, I have no problem with your stash. I don't think I have that many. I have several from TEMU. Three from Diamond Art Club, with two more on the way. Currently I am working on a Dreamer Designs called Butterfly Orchid Fantasy by Sandra Turbin. Since I am severely ADHD, I hyperfocus. So today I started at 10am and stopped at 3pm here in Los Angeles. I will rest for a short time and then go back to my Butterfly Orchid Fantasy. Enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work. I think you said "I love this one" to almost all of them. Very jealous I just started have done 4 so far. I have 2 ready to go and that's all I have. Budget is my main problem but it's ok. You will decide what makes you happy in time and weather you give or keep will be okay. Thank you 😊

Well, I guess it’s time I count my stash, which is such a scary thought. I think you’ve whittled yours down to ones you honestly love, and that’s what I should do. I have a few too many impulse buys that I shouldn’t have purchased. The colors in the painting are what usually attract me.

I think I am down to 30 in my stash finally! Lol I only have 2 budget paintings, and the rest are DAC, HAED, and one Dreamer Designs. My husband also diamond paints so I think this is the perfect amount for us. He doesn't look at any of the diamond paintings coming out unless I show it to him...Thank God! 😂 I feel so humbled that I inspired you to do your give away! It brought me so much happiness to share!! ❤

I enjoyed your stash video and the way you feel is somewhat the way I feel. I love all my stash but I’m sad I am not completing them fast enough. I told my sister I couldn’t die as I had to finish my diamond paintings. She told me “then you are never going to die”. I have about 74 shop paintings and probably another 20 bargain. I am trying to no buy but very troubl8ngits so difficult to do so. Peace and love abide with you 💕

Nice stash. These are fun videos to watch. I have three large boxed DP’s. ( one is the Spangler virus detected that I won in your Christmas giveaway 🎉 ) I don’t even know how many I have hanging on the back of my craft room door and another small pile of smaller DP’s. I have gone on a no buy because I need to get these done before I add to my collection. I think I need to get out a calendar to mark when I’m going to diamond paint and when I am going to cross stitch. This week I worked on 3 15x15 specials. Nice stash. Having 3 in our household that diamond paint , we don't have a stash. We found diamond painting during covid. My autisticadult son's weren't taking lockdown well until we found out about diamondart. They love it, it's very relaxing.

I started 💎 painting over a yr ago, my son bought me first from ???I don't know where from. I've come to find DAC is my sweet spot. I just ordered 2 canvas's from Oraloa, I thought I was doing good having 3 stashed🤣🤣 Do what you Love & Love what you Do🌻✌I did a Mystery from DAC it was a mermaid holding a note in a bottle, I can't find it on the web sight🤷

Thanks for sharing! I loved seeing your choices. I think the only one we have in common is Sunken Ship from DAC. I have about 39 DPs to do. About a dozen are licensed, because I was shopping budget companies until I found out about the need for licensing. I feel a little pressured having so many waiting to be done. I'm MUCH less interested in the budget DPs, compared to when I got them.

Everyone is different - the licensed art can be out of reach financially for many people. I started out with small kits I bought on Amazon just to see if I liked diamond painting before spending a chunk of change on licensed kits. Whatever works for you is what you should do. Thanks for watching!!

You have quite a few in your stash that I wish had off gotten! I don't have a big stash, have 6 DAC + about 15 DD, have quite a few from the budget companies though. Think have about 6 from other DP companies. I just work my way through them, I enjoy participating in the different DP Events 😊

I think you have a great stash, and I wouldn't get rid of any of them. Just remember that when you move to Canada, you will not be able to buy Craftably anymore. You will also have to pay customs charges on what you buy after you move because all those companies are outside of Canada. I'm from Canada but am now living in Belgium, and i've actually stopped buying stuff because I can't justify the customs fees any longer. But with that being said, I have about 210 in my stash!!! They will do me long into my retirement years. 🤣🤣🥰🥰🥰🤣

For the move, simply buy a couple wardrobe box, most storage companies sell them, stack the kits on end and on one another. Can fit several kits and will probably only need two.

Hi Daphne, great video. Thanks for sharing. I too share mixed feelings about my stash/habit/addiction. I unbox everything - and I have four huge portfolios 2 for finished works (large and small) and 2 for new DPs (large and small). The portfolios are stored under furniture in my den. The drills are stored in pretty boxes in my hobby room. Both those rooms are in my basement, which is completely taken over by diamond painting. According to my GemsFlow app, I have 78 in my stash. About 18 are budget and the rest are licensed from DAC, Dreamer Designs and Diamond Dotz. I have purchased less in recent months, but I am saving my crafting budget for DAC’s anniversary sale. And then I’m going to stop (L O L). 🤷‍♀️❤️from🇨🇦!

I'm on 99 kits including 1 wip, desperately trying to never surpass the 100 mark. It's not easy for sure. I have no budget or unlicensed paintings. Like you I keep saying I want to get to that one soon..but one can only diamond paint so much at a time with life and work going on. I alternate as much a I can between large and small, old and new, round and square. Sometimes I don't understand why there are still paintings on my wishlist...why it is still a struggle to not buy if you have so many already. I am still super sad that I didn't buy the Hannah Lynn Spring one from DAC...it's silly. You might be happy with your stash once you have moved Daphne, it will be more expensive for you then to buy from abroad (as I do being from the Netherlands). I bought most my paintings on purpose trying to build a stash before the European import rules changed so much...and I was right to do so because pricing is now double to what it was when I started out.

I too have a HUGE stash🫣🤷🏽🤭that I hope to get too before I die😬😬but what can I say....they are all so pretty 😊😊. I bought a very long/large xmas wrapping paper holder and I pretty much threw away a lot of the boxes with the exception of many 10-12 that I have left but I basically layed them down by size Largest one being the base and "stacked them" one on top of the other and when I "thought" the pile was high enough but not too large I ROLLED them in the one HUGE roll so it looks like one very thick DP and put that very large roll into the Xmas wrapping paper holder. And zipped it. It's standing upright in the closet corner. It looks like it's filled with individual rolls of wrapping paper when in actuality it's one big roll of maybe 30? Very Large DP's that I know I can't get to for awhile. The drills are in a different place in a box each labelled. So that could be a "storage"hack for my fellow DP'rs. It has worked so far to cut down on the many,many large boxes. For the "smaller"60×60,50x50 etc. I have them stacked, rolled and put in large artist tube with the strap attachment so I could fit a good amount in those. I have maybe 4 or 5 of those. When transporting you can put it on your shoulder to carry. It's easy to move them around. Just a very long idea of what has helped me with my ridiculous stash. Good luck😂😂😂

You're so funny...not in a haha kind of way, but just compared to me. I had a smallish box from Amazon that I used to keep my boxes from tipping over. It was outgrown and I bought so much stuff during the holidays last year that I got a larger box that I turned into my new stash area...I've already outgrown that (mostly thanks to trying Oraloa and getting 3 kits at once from them and all of the 75% off stuff from Hobby Lobby). I don't know how many kits I have, but that little corner has maybe 40 (probably less than that and I'd wager there is no way it is more than that), plus some specials and other smaller projects that I just don't count. Very recently, because of my getting into 3d printing and some of the groups discussing something called 'bin stores' where they've managed to find filament for just a few dollars a spool (basically, there are shops that buy palettes of amazon products...usually returns, but not always...and they sell them rummage style) and I had to get in on that action. So far, I have only found filament twice (yesterday being the second time and I was so stoked by the brand, but it turned out to be ABS, so I left it...the first time I got a .65kg and 1kg spool for $5 each) thanks to finding out that my area has one really good store and I live 5 minutes from it and have driven past them probably more than once a week for years never knowing what good stuff they had. Because of the nature of what they sell and how they sell it (new stock is higher priced and the prices drop each day...with the lowest price being $1 per item and if they have too much left, in the afternoon it is fill a hand basket for $5), on the fill a basket trips, I keep finding inexpensive round paintings. I am a squares girl, but I can't leave behind diamond paintings that end up amounting to pennies each. The most I paid for one was on $5 day yesterday because it was a pack of 6 that were in a bag that had been ripped open (you need to open stuff to see what's inside a lot of the time) and I knew that it would get tossed around and end up where the diamonds and paintings would get lost from each other. It ended up being all halloween kits and I LOVE THEM. As a result of the bargains and sucking it up that I'm going to have to do rounds if I want to find some good deals, my stash has grown a bit since finding this store and while I do need to find storage for the new stuff (my small specials area is a bit overgrown at the moment...but it was just a photo box, so not like I dedicated a lot of space for them), I am excited to have more kits to do for such great prices. So maybe you can borrow some of my excitement over just feeling glad I have so much stuff to keep me busy so you don't feel as guilty?! I do tend to feel a bit claustrophobic because I have hobbies that have a lot of 'stuff', but that just means I need to rethink my organization and spend a bit of time tidying because I'm pretty good at getting a lot of stuff to fit in smallish spaces.

I think you have a reasonable stash especially when you have the channel. I have been diamond painting for just over a year and have a larger stash, most of them are budget kits. These are kits that you want and love, almost every kit, we can see that you love them.
