Really happy I could add this to my small collection. I finally made it to Galaxy's Edge this past February and built an Elemental Nature Savi's Lightsaber and picked up the Kylo Legacy (my favorite saber in the franchise.) Qui Gon Jin's Lightsaber is another favorite of mine. I was 5 when Phantom Menace came out and loved the Qui Gon character and his Lightsaber was so different than those seen in the original trilogy. I've also ordered the Leia Lightsaber that was added to Shop Disney on Black Friday.

This was one of 3 Legacy sabers that I bought when I went to Disneyland in October, and probably my favorite. It is heavy, but it looks great and the fact that it's rechargeable is the cherry on top.

I used to have Qui-Gon’s saber when ep 1. It was my 1st lightsaber, the old school cheaper ones lol. But what I actually loved about it, around the emitter, there was a lock to keep the blade inside.

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far, far away. I owned my first lightsaber, which was Qui Gon Jinn's lightsaber, from Episode 1. Which was the old extendable style sabers, that was powered with D batteries, and had sound effects. Years have passed since then, and I now own a fine collection of Neo-Pixel lightsabers. And you're right, once you're "hooked" you're "hooked". And in regards to Qui Gon's hilt being quite long. Is due to his height, as he was quite tall.

This one checks all the boxes. Has the rechargeable battery, no thin neck screwing, not super heavy, and most important of all… THE ACTIVATION SWITCH IS THE ACTUAL BUTTON. I only own cheap lightsabers and the last time I went to Disneyland was before Galaxy’s Edge came out but I’m 100% going to get this one whenever I do go

The chunky legacy lightsabers work for some hilts, but I think it's a miss with this one. Qui-Gon's hilt is supposed to be a lot thinner and this just looks oversized. What are your thoughts as to why Disney designed hilts this way? I'm sure internals are mostly the same in all the hilts. Easier to mass produce at a cheaper cost with this size?

Hey Marlon, I think you are exactly right. They have to design the Hilts around the same universal chassis size. Which keeps their cost down and changing out the blades is also a huge plus for us fans. 👍🏻

I like the overall design of the hilt! I mostly do tricks with my sabers so I don’t like that is had no room for your hand on the top. And I hate it weighs 2.5 pounds!!!!!!! I'm with you Obi-Dad, if you could only have one saber, save a few more bucks and get a Smoothswing Neopixel (RGB ones are good too), you're absolutely gonna be happier long term with that saber. But as a second saber or something, these Disney sabers are pretty good.

A bit of an interesting fact: in the old EU, Qui-Gon was essentially a Grey Jedi, not seeing the world through black and white but rather through shades of grey, allowing for morality to take over. His lightsaber reflects that having a lot of black while still having a decent amount of silver. Another interesting tidbit: it's a very high possibility that Qui-Gon's green Kyber crystal was used for Luke Skywalker's lightaaber in *_Return of the Jedi_* when he was first building it in between *_The Empire Strikes Back_* and *_Return of the Jedi._*

There's no such thing as grey Jedi and Qui-Gon definitely wasn't one. The term is made up and implies a Jedi who uses both dark and light side which Qui-Gon didn't, he was probably one of the purest Jedi's ever and only followed the light side of the force. You can have other force users who might dabble with both light and dark but they aren't Jedi, they are just another type of force wielder.

I saw this on the Disney store and had to pass, here's why. Qui Gon's was always hard to find. So I ordered an empty LGT Qui Gon jinn hilt about a year ago, ordered the Proffie chassis, and made it for an easy$300. So even though I've got around 10 GE sabers, they were kinda a stepping stone from Master Replicas to Neopixel sabers for me. BTW, my Qui Gon hilt is rather long, but not as thick. This hilt should be great for you since you stated in previous videos that you have larger hands. I'm a short guy but my hands might larger than other people around my height. I find that 10" hilts are a little on the short side so using a two handed grip means one hand is too close to the emitter. If it were a real lightsaber then I'd lose some fingers. Most of my hilts are around 11-12" which leaves a good amount of room for a two handed grip.

I own a neo pixel Guigon Jinn (GJ) lightsaber I purchased a few years ago. And yes, it is much slimmer and much lighter than the Galaxy's Edge version. Having held most of the legacy character driven hilts, I must say the GJ hilt is very comfortable to hold. I believe that, because Liam Neeson has such big hands because of his height, George Lucas had a particularly long hilt designed for him. This lightsaber is long thus can be gripped with one or both hands to include a choke point near the emitter. Again, the neo pixel (more expensive) version is lighter and slimmer.
