I'm still impressed that Disney manage to make a blade special for Yoda knowing his lightsaber is just that small. Not only that but how small they manage to make the lightsaber. Wish can say the same for the Palpatine legacy lightsaber. Not only that, it's only half a pound in weight? That's light!

I have palpatine legacy lightsaber and yes, it is big and heavy, but i kind of like that because when i handle it, it doesn't feels like a toy.

@@gabrieljara2485 because chunky or not, legacy lightsabers are glorified toys that are made for adults. But still, it isn't accurate to the film. Too thick to even slide down someone's sleeve. Unless you're a big dude then you might enjoy it.

Ya know I recently displayed my Palpatine Force FX BS and Rey (Scavenger) FFXBS. And the Palpatine is actually much smaller than the Rey. It's obviously still too fat. But I think the height is pretty close.

I think Disneys legacy lightsabers are definitely the most affordable in my opinion. I just don’t have $600 to spend on a lightsaber. I just got Anakin’s lightsaber from galaxy’s edge for $170 and it looks absolutely amazing. I can also tell that Disney has improved with the sounds of their lightsabers too.

You don’t have to spend $600. You can spend under $300 and have a way better xenopixel lightsaber with a nice hilt.

@@ralphbrewster3241 that’s true. But from what I’ve seen for the replicas they’re usually $360-$400. And I literally just went to galaxy’s edge and Anakin’s hilt was $170 and Obi wan’s was $180.

Buy a budget neopixel for $180-200 from imperial workshop, neosabers, etc. if you want a cheaper movie accurate hilt, go Disney but for action and playability I’d always suggest a neopixel.

I think im on my own in regards to the blade. I don't have the storage space for long boxes, it's one of the reasons I sold my Master Replicas and Black Series Force FX sabers. Also being able to just buy replacement blades is useful if they stop working, but more importantly I prefer the plastic crate box format, looks way better, better protection and smaller for easier storage. Since the blade can't be purchased separately, we will probably never see the saber released in that format 😔

It's really cool they made a smaller one! I built a proffie replica version recently and would love to see the sizes of the replica vs the Disney parks one. Also, really odd they used the rebel symbol for his blade, when yoda wasn't a rebel.

Great review of the saber, for what it is. I actually ordered my Yoda saber from Padawan Outpost. Got the Xenopixel version for $260 shipped to the US! There’s no comparison between the GE one and the PO. Padawan Outpost blows this thing out of the water and for only like $10-$20 more?! The PO Xeno has multiple sound fonts, smooth swing, multiple ignitions, multiple colors, etc, everything you’d want for very little more in price. I’m thinking of doing a quick review/comparison video on it.

Hey man, that’s a great question. Unfortunately, I believe you’re going to need to get the entire Saber reinstalled. Separate light wires need to be connected to the soundboard, and they have to probably redesign the chassis to fit the crystal.
