@@anthemsforautumn3542 Not connected with the project but I'd be very surprised if any company can offer all that art development and playtesting for free, unless the game is ridiculously successful. New campaign = new expansion is pretty standard.

Is the mission still controlled through the App/timer, or is there a way to play it without the timer? That timer is still a show stopper for me. Mandatory timer=no purchase.

Our game is designed to replicate that moment in a video game when the music changes and the combat begins. To achieve this, we reached for some unique mechanics and in this real-time. This allows us to introduce an element of tension that we know from the video game. We know what you might be afraid of, so we have mechanics that allow the user to adjust the level of that tension to one that suits them. Included in that are difficulty levels, which at the easiest level are really comfortable.

App is optional. You can play without the timer but that just removes the intensity of the game

@GoOnBoardPolska I play board games with friends that come around for dinner and drinks. We sit around a table and joke, laugh, banter. At no time in that sequence do we want to huddle and frantically try to remember the rules and string actions together in a forced window of time and put away the banter and jokes etc, then repeat this numerous times during the evening. I understand why this will generate the tension of the game. But that is not how we play games. I understand that YOUR focus is on this way of playing, but take a step back and think... will the intensive focus mechanism stop people from buying the game, because they are not as focused on this game, understand the rules, are as immersed in the theme, have played the computer game, understand cyberpunk... as you are? You know approximately how many actions each of you can perform in these time windows. So swap number of seconds with a proportional number of actions. It would be a shame to reduce sales by focusing this game only for players that share your desire for intensity, and lock out everyone else.

That's fair, but for me, the introduction of the timer actually made me *way* more interested in it. That's because me and my group are massive analysis paralysis players. Games that should take 2 hours take 4 hours with us, because everyone wants to min/max the perfect move, which really drains the momentum. With the timer, it'll give us the hectic cyberpunk feel but also give everyone permission to make imperfect moves every now and then :D

You still need some form of timer whether you use the app or not. You have to play this as hectic as possible with some form of timer or the game doesn’t work. If you wanna house rule with no timer there’s no real game or challenge at all. I’d love to know why there’s a timer at all when there’s no such timer in any mission on the video game. So how’s this an adaption of the video game? Regardless I’m not backing because of the hectic gameplay.
