I use 2lb line.. mostly in ponds for gills and small bass (PB on 2lb line was a 1/2lb bass. Line broke just as I put my hand on it) also...Snell the hook!!

The bite hasn't been good there since mid june. I fish it all the time for cats and bass. Float fishing seems to be the best
