I would suggest you to study for mains atleast, because banking all your hopes on one exam is too risky. Apart from that, studying for mains will help you in bitsat. Remember this, whenever you're studying for an exam always study one level higher that the actual dificulty of the exam. It always helps

In the year 2017, when I appeared for both BITSAT and JEE MAINS, it's an irony that the question in JEE MAINS 2017 regarding the velocity v/s time curve was asked from BITSAT 2013. So you can never expect to get stumped by both the exams. I got an edge over others of getting +4 marks in that particular question. The reason behind it was, I prepared from NCERT and solved past year questions well. Edit : But there are rare chances of questions being asked again in the BITSAT exam from previous years BITSAT papers. But practice the questions of JEE MAINS as well the questions might get repeated from that. 😊

Yes, NCERT is enough to crack BITSAT exam. Alongwith NCERT you could have CENGAGE PUBLICATIONS BITSAT Book which will help you to practice past year papers of BITSAT and each and every topic shall also be covered from it. 😊

In 2017, 12th class got higher weightage. Not much but it was like Class 11th :- 45% Class 12th :- 55% and rest is from verbal and reasoning 😊
