Ngl they should probably come out and say "Yeah the community made gamemode is really good for tanks", thank the creators and apply some of the changes Reinheard's change is good and makes him more agressive (And also INSANELY fast like holy shit), Ramattra's vortex finally feels like it's pulling enemies from the air instead of just being a slow and Orisa feels still pretty solid and fun Not all changes are good (Torb's turret is a nightmare to deal with now and Roadhog's heal is pretty shite, as well as Sojourn's railgun doing very little now)

Even though I’m not a 6v6 shill, I’ll play devil’s advocate and say that it’s definitely not unlike the Overwatch team to add something to the game that they’ve said would never happen. IIRC, they once said Pink Mercy wasn’t coming back, and years ago I remember a dev saying they had “no plans to add deathmatch”

Also thats very ironic because Its the same thing if you have a bad tank in 5v5 that refuses to play counterwatch so you immediately lose the game. 2 tanks with lower health and less sustain promotes more teamplay.

They've been buffing tanks all day, NOTHING changed the inherent gameplay loop that tank currently has which right now is just "stand....chunk enemy tank, take every cooldown, back down to heal, chunk enemy tank, take all the cooldowns." Unless your doom, winston, or ball this is how you play tank and even then all of those characters get boned by hog and mauga which just focus on the enemy tank, take all the cooldowns, and then back iut again.

Counterwatch is probably the best way to describe the experience right now. If I play dva and do absolutely anything, enemy tank switches to zarya. I am then forced to make the decision to switch to a shield tank or I lose the game. It’s not aim, positioning and resource management that wins fights anymore it’s all team composition. Dumbbbb.

the best thing except for 6v6 would be to give reinhardt more love when it comes to pvp and not skins, a soon as reinhardt gets a buf or something good then the games popularity rises but as soon as reinhardt becomes inrelevant then the game kinda looses it charms and dies dor a bit

iirc, Que times. Not many people wanted to play tank back then compared to damage, so damage Que times were obnoxiously long, especially for higher ranks. So, instead of deciding to make tanks more desirable to play, they just made each game require less tank players in order to balance out those Que times.

⁠Without 6v6 Tank players have been harassed by both their team and the enemy team the tanks need 2 because the point of 6v6 one can be aggressive against the enemy team and one can defend their supports and dps now it’s hard to multi task as tank since you have to do either or leaving to more complications

The people who are saying bring back 6v6 have a major sticking point. #1 The majority of the responsibility goes to u #2 The tanks change the trajectory of the match the most #3 Most people know to progress faster/further in the match take out Tanks 1st or the people with the the highest health. Most DPS/Support heroes can't be taking many risks since most have 1.5-3x less total health than the tanks. To more people its extra aggravating to play against a Roadhog than a Reinhardt. Roadhogs pulls you in, Reinhardt jusy needs get closer in your face to kill you.

Here’s a simple solution… we have enough DPS… why not bring back 6v6 BUT create TWO separate roles. A heavy DPS and Light Dps 1 tank 1 heavy dps 2 light dps 2 supports. That way you can have tanks hold the front while heavy hold the back line.

@@krazyd0nut404 abhhhh true 😂😂😂😂 I never try to be mean but like, it’s simple. For example, the reason why people hate road hog is because he’s the most selfish tank on the roster. He doesn’t create space, he pulls someone into their space and now you’re stuck in between 5 people rather than having the chance to get away from one tank. I love going against ANY other tank because these tanks are playing to create space and make the team make plays. Like hog, they just need to take his hook and make it ONLY for his ult. Rework his trap and make it do more impact damage and then let the trap spring. He can get up close then and make a play like that. Or even do what they did with the community mode, make hog be able to pull himself to the enemies. That way he’s making space but not just making it impossible to get out of.

Unpopular opinion: 6v6 wouldnt fix the issue, and 5v5 actually encourages more strategic play. No one wanted to play tank during 6v6 days either. There are two reasons people hate playing tank, even if they dont realize these are the reasons. The first is that tank players expect to be an invincible juggernaut because of the name "tank". They want to just sit out in the open and soak up damage and never die, and when they inevitably do they blame the tank role for not feeling tanky enough. Problem is, if you make them too tanky then people will complain that they are too hard to kill when someone who is actually good is at the wheel; we've seen this with Roadhog recently and thats why he got nerfed. The second reason is that tanks are expected to control the tempo of a match by knowing when to push and what space to take but get no cooperation from their team. Overwatch players as a whole have never fully gotten the fact that its not CoD and you actually have to listen to your team. The reason tanks felt slightly tankier in 6v6 was that there was another tank soaking up some of the abuse, but that came with the caveat that the rest of the team could ignore tanks to focus on their kill ratio. 5v5 actually encourages the team to value their one tank more instead of just playing a solo game, but Overwatch players are so toxic that they'd rather blame literally anyone and anything else than accept that they're the problem. Im a tank main, and I absolutely love playing tank. Why? Because i play almost exclusively in a 4 or 5 stack where we are all friends and committed to teamwork. Tanks feel fine if people play using teamwork, which is literally the entire purpose of this game.

Personally ever since this game went 5v5, I have seen a HUGE drop in teamwork(solo-queuer).Back in ow 1 you couldnt win without teamwork which encouraged players to work together but right now 1 player is enough to run the whole lobby.With this being a thing I found that people rather just do their own thing instead of working together as a team. It might feel good for you but as a solo-queuer the game just sucks right now😢
